If people want the government to pay for stuff, that cash has to come from somewhere. That means taxes, and the tax required to cover people with preexisting conditions to get insurance under the Obamacare will cost any person with insurance $63 per year. As a result of the health care law, premiums have been starting to slowly go up. Moreover, anyone with insurance can probably expect to pay more in coming years, for everyone else.

Insurance premiums have been increasing way before Obamacare was in the works. This happens every year..

Now you know you can't let facts like that get in the way of hard liners blaming the Obama administration for every ill the country or the economy might have.

I don't like Oboma care, have been against it since the start. That said my premiums went up at a serious out of control rate the most during the Bush eight years in office, and to tell you the truth, I place a lot of the blame at the feet of the Republicans and Bush that we ended up with Obama care. All the time Bush was in office health care was an enormous problem which everyone knew something had to be done about at some point. The republicans refusal to do anything while they had the chance left this country with much too little resistance to anything being done as long as someone was actually doing something.

Just look at the resistance and outrage that the Clintons encountered when trying to push through Hillary care not too many years prior to all this. The country stood up and snuffed it out before it had a chance. However the obvious signs were there that this country was heading towards a cliff when it came to healthcare costs and coverage in this country and something needed to be done. The republicans showed no leadership during the time Bush was in office and only kicked the can further down the road, right into Obamas lap. It gave him an easy platform to run on at a time massive amounts of people were willing to try anything just for the fact it was something different from what wasn't currently working well.

The republicans were lazy and didn't attack the problem in a more reasoned and rational way shaping the narrative while they could have and now we are all paying for it because the wrong person was the one who actually stepped up and did something about it. Of course now all the republicans voice their opposition, but what they should have been doing was leading while it was their chance to.

I have voted republican my entire life however this healthcare mess is just another example of how much of a mess we currently have in this country with a two party system in which there are no term limits and everyone spends most their time and efforts while in office insuring that they will stay in office in the future rather than actually governing.

For sure there is plenty of blame to go around...I just wish a legit attempt with all tax payers in mind was the goal. I get the feeling it was more of an attempt to control the tax payers
/taxes and have more control of our lives. Slowly but surely we will all be under obamacare as they keep trying to figure out how to get this implemented. If it takes 4-5 years to get implemented ya think it will ever work? Go away? I say no to both.
The fact that we keep hearing about companies or individuals being exempt is bothersome..plus we hear how companies like UPS are backing off some of their offerings to employees/spouses is just another sign of things to come. So is the path laid out to any of us who cannot afford employer or individual healthcare coverage to move to the gubment exchange? If so that's even more proof of how FUBAR this is. I guess time and a corrupt gubment will decide.
