I'm sick of worring about what the "world" thinks. If the "world' suddenly got a conscience, let them go there and fight. The mulim world is doinjg that.Assad is doing us a great service, he's killing off some of those bearded stinky SOBs. the more the better! Britian and France caused this crap. let them fix it.I feel NO sympathy toward any islamist.. Fix America first.New York city could use another casino. the UN building would be a great site.

    It is a tough situation..........

BUT we need to stop him using chemical weapons. If for nothing else, so Obama can actually LOOK like a freakin leader. He TOLD the world chemical weapons would be a red line, and then he went to freakin play golf.

    I miss Reagan.......

    Simple solution

How about a quick congressional vote[oxymoron] and no action paid for with tax payer money? That would guarantee no action. After a study called for my the sr sen. from ariz.A bi partisan committee to propose a bill called for nobah.Immediately challed by mitch, and a bucket of tears from ohio, the crisis would be over, and we'd be asked to step into yehmen. The more Assad kills[by any means] the fewer we will need to deal with later.

It's tough to see the photos of women and little kids laying dead in the street after being gassed over there. They did nothing to deserve that.

But where does it end? We can play "World Police" until the cows come home. Syria today, somewhere else tomorrow, and the circle will continue. It's our money and the families of our dead soldiers at the end of the day...for people that really don't give a crap about us.

I think arming rebels is the WRONG idea...absolutely wrong. I think American boots on the ground is the WRONG idea. If you want to lay a few Tomahawk missiles in there strategically, OK, but you're committed at that point.
My biggest concern really are those chemical weapons and the hands they end up in at the end of the day.

Hard as it is to see innocents gassed, a large part of me says stay at home, keep as much intel coming as you can get about the whereabouts of the weapons, and let it ride.

    Cold, maybe, but I'm sorry.

It's not the job of my money as a taxpayer, and the sacrificed lives of our soldiers, to back every uprising in the World...it's just not.

It's tough for Obama, when pressed by the media and the World for our stance in the matter, to not end up creating a "Red Line" like he did. The problem is that when you create it, then it gets crossed, if you do nothing you lose a lot of credit among the rest of the world waiting to try you next.

    We didn't start it

Like I said before, its not our problem. Unless those chemical weapons were furnished by American concerns.I'd rather see dead innocents there than dead americans there! Can we help cure the problem? Just look at Iran and the peace and stability we left them, and more afgans are getting killed now, by other afgans than we did. That's a solution? When will we get it through our heads that islam is a disease not a religion.

Yes, we can get nothing but a black eye by stepping in these kinds of squabbles... If they step outside of their own borders I believe it's a different story as in the case of Saddam in Kuwait but in that case at least, Bush Sr. had enough sense to know when the job was done.

I just had a conversation with an atheist who said the very same thing about Christianity. He cited the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, those who used the Bible to justify slavery, the killing of homosexuals in Africa, rampant sexual abuse in the Catholic church and other denominations, and faith healers and swindlers on TV.

Except Christians stopped using that justification in the DARK AGES........Islam still uses the "word of God" as justification to rape, murder, kill, maim, and destroy non believers.

    The point still remains.

Christianity got a 600-year head start on Islam, you know. The Bible was used to justify slavery about 150 years ago. In many ways, they're still in the dark ages. We sure aren't going to make them more moderate by painting all of them as jihadists.
