From what I've seen on here around your area I think there is an FLW fisherman. If you can find something out about him he might be able to help you out.

I am somewhat new to the area, and need a bait casting rod repaired. I have asked around the Russell County area, and can't seem to find anyone that does this anymore. I have a rod with the first eye from the reel busted. It's also a telescoping rod and is pretty hard to get to collapse (thats how I busted the eye). I also need some reels cleaned really well, and am curious about getting some new bearings put in. I live in Russell Springs, but am willing to drive within a reasonable distance. I would like to get somebody local, that way I know who I am dealing with instead of shipping things off to be fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Legend, on this site, is really good. He cleans/repairs reels, and builds/rebuild rods. Dependable and honest.I am somewhat new to the area, and need a bait casting rod repaired. so far he looks to be the closest. I'll try and get in touch with him. There was also a guy on another forum from Campbellsville asking the same question. I'll direct him here as well.
I'd be glad to help you out. My contact info is below or you can message me on here. Thanks for the referrals everyone!

Hey Chris, how much do your custom rods run? What will you be selling them for at the Barren Bassmasters swap meet?
Regular pricing for most of my builds averages between $155-$450 but it varies greatly depending what grade of quality and sensitivity of components the customer orders and how fancy the they want it to look and specific personalization (names, military logos, sports team logos, ect.).
As far as what I'll have to offer at the swap meet...I'll have casting and cranking rods with me and there will be a mix of good/better/best quality, decor ranging from plain to super bling, UK and /UofL, micro guide, and youth rods. I'm gonna offer sale prices as a "show special" that day only, but sorry, I'm gonna keep those prices under wraps till the swap meet.
If you don't make it to the swap meet and have questions about pricing for a particular type of custom build you have in mind just holler at me and I'll be glad to help.
