Fishing related Volunteer work.

Well, my company is now pushing volunteerism.....pushing REALLY HARD.

Everyone is being strongly asked to participate, so instead of some BS volunteer stuff being "assigned" to me, I'd like to find some volunteer activities centered around the outdoors.

Fishing or Canoeing or Backpacking..........anything related to that.

I don't know of any for certain, but here are some quick thoughts.

Are there volunteer opportunities with the high school bass fishing teams or maybe the archery in the schools programs?

What about volunteering to do one of those lake or river cleanups where everyone goes out and picks up trash around the shoreline?

Teaching canoeing at a summer camp for kids.

If there are any fishing tournaments that are raising money for charity, you could volunteer to help run or organize one.

I'm actually going to put together a work sanctioned list of outdoor volunteer opportunities.

Everything, including being a marshall/driver for the high school tourneys, etc, etc.......I'm gonna get my 20 or 30 volunteer hours or whatever the requirement is, by doing STUFF I like to do.
