2 boats and 1 truck

3 Buddy's and I fish a lot together. We take some long trips even into Canada. Thinking about putting a ball on the back of one trailer and pulling tandem trailers will a four door dually. Both are aluminum bass boats. Ball to ball seems to be the legal issue.Might even make the first trailer into a gooseneck to get around that.Anyone seen this, launching would take a few extra minutes and the boat motor hitting the other tongue is not a issue because I can slide my boat forward on my trailer to clear( built my grizzly from a bare hull and is sitting on a heavy duty trailer) . One truck splitting gas 4 ways got to be good right?

Hmmm. I've never seen or heard of anyone try to do that. Especially trying the gooseneck. I'd say if you manage the hook up right that launching would be difficult. Maybe I'm just not picturing it correctly in my head lol. But as far as your dully hauling, I'd say it's ok unless it's a chevy hahaha! Jk

I've seen boat dealerships do this sort of thing to transport boats to boat shows. I'm not sure how they mount the ball on the first trailer, but I do believe they take the lower unit off of the first boat to avoid contact with the second trailer. You might give a dealership a call to see what their particular setup is.

I did this years ago. I would pull a 22' foot camper and then pull an 17' boat behind it. You will need to call the transportation department to find the maxim length overall it can be. Has been to many years ago An I can not remember. Also get the name of the person you talk too in case your pulled over. He did tell me that if I went out of state that I would need to check with that state to if it was legal as all states are not the same.

Well, it also means if one truck breaks down you got 2 boats stranded along the highway
Why not a single double deck trailer to haul both boats? make things easier, see attached link : http://www.builtrite.net/doubledeck/index.html
Ya launch trhe first boat from the bottom rack, then pull back out, lower the top rack, and launch the second boat. Only one trailer to haul, no sway issues, and only one trailer to back.
