Since we now supposedly have crude oil flowing out of our backsides why don't we take the ethanol out of the gasoline so our boat fuel will be more trouble-free and our vehicles will become even more fuel efficient with the lower energy per gallon ethanol out of it. Surely this would also eventually lower or at least stabilize the rapidly growing cost of corn based foods for humans and livestock as well as helping hamburger become affordable once again.
It would make sense, but then the ethanol industry would need a bail out. I wouldn't like to see the CEO"s of ADM and Conagra holding tin cups to congress. And that would need another farm bill, and we couldn't afford that, could we?
The ethanol issue is not about not having enough fuel, it was about trying to make it cleaner........Since we now supposedly have crude oil flowing out of our backsides why don't we take the ethanol out of the gasoline so our boat fuel will be more trouble-free and our vehicles will become even more fuel efficient with the lower energy per gallon ethanol out of it. Surely this would also eventually lower or at least stabilize the rapidly growing cost of corn based foods for humans and livestock as well as helping hamburger become affordable once again.
BUT I get your point![]()
