For awhile I thought i had a rep candidate I could vote for. He still has some ideas I like, but I'm afraid he screwed up big time. He took a page from the Frist play book[the guy who pronounced malvo alive]. While vaccinations are still a matter of choice, its a poor choice that was made with the measles.Now the " cured" disease is back. There are folks out there who are endangering other folks children with their "choice". I'm not an example of healthy clean living, but I'm responsible for My bad habits. I'm not gping to sue the tobacco industry, or fast food, and I'm not going to stop my life style for global warming.but I think its genuine. Nuff already!

Paul, in comments on conservative talk-radio show host Laura Ingraham’s show Monday, said he’s “not anti-vaccine at all.”“But particularly, most of them ought to be voluntary,” he added. Paul cited incidents where you have “somebody not wanting to take the smallpox vaccine, and it ruins it for everybody else.”
“I think there are times in which there can be some rules, but for the most part it ought to be voluntary,” Paul went on. “While I think it’s a good idea to take the vaccine, I think that’s a personal decision for individuals to take.”
He also said he was “annoyed” that his kids were supposed to receive the Hepatitis B vaccine as newborns, and that he had doctors space out the 10 vaccines they wanted to give his infant children over time.
And in a later interview with CNBC, Paul suggested he had seen the negative effects of vaccines that those in the anti-vax movement cite in their opposition. None, however, are widely supported by the scientific community, and Paul’s office did not respond to a request for comment for details.
“I’ve heard of many tragic cases of walking, talking, normal children who wound up with profound mental disorders after vaccines,” Paul said. “I’m not arguing vaccines are a bad idea. I think they’re a good thing. But I think the parents should have some input.”

True, same thing applies to DUI, drug abuse, speeding, domestic violence, unprotected sex with multiple partners and a thousand other irresponsible acts that our society readily forgives. I don't think the MMR vaccine is dangerous in itself but when it's preserved with thimerosal which is a mercury-containing organic compound that is 50% mercury by weight I do have my doubts. When immunizing children and even when taking a flu vaccine I think it would be wise to request the preservative free versions. That is simply a vaccine in a single dose vial instead of a multi-dose vial.

Thimerosal may be 50% mercury by weight but the amount of Thimerosal is minute in each vaccine. We are talking about .00001% or less. Still some people are allergic to Thimerosal. They used Thimerosal in contact lens solutions to keep bacteria from growing in the solutions.
Still I get your drift and personally have tried my best to eliminate contact with Thimerosal when ever possible.

As long as we have open borders, diseases that were once pronounced eradicated in this country will keep raising their ugly heads. There was a good reason why we had Ellis Island. Now progressives in both parties want to keep the borders open for their own political reasons. They really don't care about you, they care about their power.

The instant I heard about American children being killed by EV-D68, I immediately knew it was the Obama virus. It should be renamed as such, because he is the man responsible for circumventing our laws, and allowing large numbers of ILLEGAL immigrant children with communicable diseases not only into our country, but then secretly spirited off to mingle with our children all over this country. Though the U.S. government is keeping secret the locations of the illegal immigrant children, there are significant numbers of them in both cities in which the outbreak was first identified, Kansas City, Missouri and Chicago, Illinois, according to local advocates and press reports. Obama is now responsible for the deaths of at least 5 American children in order to get more illegal Hispanic voters into his realm.
