In Henderson, KY gas was about $2.15 last Monday. In the Oakland City area it was $2.59 or maybe it was $2.49. In Evansville on the West side it was around $2.35 and in Newburgh, IN it's around $2.49 still. Not everyone has dropped their prices since the Northern Indiana Oil Refinery got repairs done and is back up and running at full capacity. That refinery was said to have a malfunction and had to be shut down which is why they Say that the gasoline prices jumped up $0.50/gal in just one day here in the Tristate Area. Dispite that the price of oil has been going down steadily.
Every day they sell their gas for and extra 50 cents a gallon they make much more money. So they slowly bring the prices down when supply gets high and demand is low. But they are very quick to raise the prices when they feel like it. Gas will come down a penny here or a few cents there over a months period of time but then they will jack up the price by 50 cents in one day if they want to make up some money.
They have us by the Balls.
