The new fishing show season is about to start the first of the year on the Outdoor Channel. What programs are you looking forward to watching? BTW: Anyone who says "Beat Charlie Moore" is automatically cutoff from Fishin.com and your fishing license will be voided. Just saying!

Major league fishing! I love the style of the tournaments. Wish more series were set up like it! And I would rather watch some political debate than Charlie Moore. Guy barely even knows how to fish!
Major league fishing is a awesome tournament setup. The one on one battle from the same boat really shows the anglers different tactics
are you referring to ultimate matchfishing with joe thomas? and id just as soon shovel snow as to watch charlie moore. how in the hell did that guy get a fishing show?
Yeah I got my shows mixed up but I like both of them. The different tournament styles make it a lot more interesting especially when you know what the other guys got in the live well
I like and watch many shows but one show that I especially enjoy is a probably lesser known one called "Lunkerville".
It is different in that it isn't "expert" big name host driven and instead is more of just a guy who is a fishing enthusiast who goes and fishes around the country with regular average fisherman and women who have sent him a tape of what and how they like to fish.
I find it refreshing compared to so many of the other bigger or over hyped produced shows. The host doesn't take himself so serious and seems to simply enjoy an type of fishing for the love of it. It is less about hard core teaching or bragging and more about seeing how other people fish for different species in different waters. Although I have learned some things about other fish I don't fish for or different types of waters I fish. It often reminds me of what I enjoy most about fishing. Just a fun afternoon being outdoors with a line in the water catching something.

The first two episodes of Major League Fishing have already aired. This Saturday will be episode three. Both episodes that have already aired were filmed on Dale Hollow in the summer of 2015. Episode one was in Sulphur and the small creek just down stream of Sulphur which is more like a large cove but it's called Pulsey Creek. Episode two was in Illwill and Fanny creek.
They have been doing re-runs of both shows this week on The Outdoor Channel and episode three is scheduled for this Saturday. I was reading about this on another site and thought I would pass it along. A lot of people who had their DVR set to record new episodes missed episode two because The Outdoor Channel accidently also listed it as episode one. To find episode two you need the one listed as episode one but an first air date of 1/9. The true episode one has a first air date of 1/2 and the upcoming episode three will have a first air date of 1/16 I just thought I would throw that out there because I am sure there will people who miss episode two because of the way its listed.
Stop reading here if you do not want to read a small spoiler alert. It was interesting to see how the pros fish that lake in the middle of summer. I have limited experience on the lake with 100% of my time being winter fishing. The method used on episode two is not what most people think of when fishing Dale Hollow (pitchin to shallow water cover). If I were going there in the in the middle of the summer it would be my first option because that is my strength. Somehow only one pro used the option and it was his last option...without giving away too much episode two it great.

It's not lacking big names. This is just the selects. These are the guys who try to make it to fish with the big names. They have a few weeks of the selects then the regular mlf guys take over.
Did not know this, thanks for the info.Didn't know they had qualifying rounds then the regular rounds.
"Hook N Look" with its underwater photography is fascinating to me.
