It really ***** to get old and sick. Hang in there. I do fasting blood test for my diabetic doctor ever six months. I got early in the morning so as to get it over with when I have to do fasting blood draws. I'm hard to stick as my veins collapse when they try to stick me. Once in the ER when I went in with Check pains they had to try to stick me about 7 times and still didn't get the catheter in my vein properly. Only after I got up to the CAT Scan room did they finally get the needle/catheter into my vein properly. The ER screwed up seventimes. My mom went to this same ER out by my house one time and they could not find the vein properly and she ended up getting stuck twice. The first stick was on her right arm and she went home with a black and blue bruise on her right arm from her wrist to her upper arm. They broke the vein by digging the IV needle around trying to get it into a vein. Mom ended up taking them to court for that. She filed a claim in small claims court against the nurse and the hospital. She lost her case but made the nurse and hospital administration people had to appear in court to defend the hospital. She won't got to that hospital anymore. The same ER stuck me 7 times and used an small portable Ultra Sound Machine to try to get a CAT Scan needle in my vein before the ER sent me up to the CAT scan room. The lady nurse in the CAT scan room looked at my IV and pulled it out because it was not in the vein properly. My arm around the IV needle was swelling where the fluid was going into my arm muscle and not into the vein. The CAT scan Nurse look at my arm, found a good vein spot and got the stick into the vein the very first time. The ER Nurses and the ER phlebotomist at this hospital are not very good at their job. IMHO? It was found out later that I was not having another heart attack and they said I had Pleurisy. Thank god it was not another heart attack this time. I had pain that lasted from the early morning into the evening. Or about 12 hours. I drove myself to the Hospital after the pain didn't go away for about 6 hours. This happened to me once before and I ignored it. It turned out that later when I had my surgery for my heart that the surgeon said that I had had two previous heart attacks before my surgery. The only time I could think of that I could have had a heart attack before the surgery was one time when I had pain in my chest that lasted for two days. I never did go to the ER that time. But I found out later that that pain was probably me having my first or second heart attack. I finally wen to the ER when I had pain again which was most likely my third heart attack. My heart arteries were clogged up pretty good by the third time and I had to have all four of my heart arteries bypassed with a vein out of my left leg.
I was in the store not too long ago. It was at a burger king and I got dizzy and almost fainted while waiting in the line to place my order. And I too have a problem with my pants not wanting to stay up. When I started carrying my handgun the extra weight of the pistol and holster make my pants want to fall down unless I tightened my belt up so tight that I could not move or bend over easily. So maybe suspenders are in order for me too. I have several pairs of suspenders that clip onto my pants. But the teeth in the clips tear at the fabric of my pants so I stopped wearing those suspenders. I just got a thicker 1.75" belt. Actually I got two of them. One is the 5.11 type and the other is a very thick leather Alien Gear Belt.
