Good time to give it a shot this winter before you re-spool new line, if you re-spool in the winter.
One guy on you tube ( I think its on a post I made here from a couple years ago) just cranks the reel as fast as he can. After seeing these vids I guess he puts pressure on the spool also. Don't know.
what I do is put thumb on the line and turn reel handle this will turn the loops forward the put reel in free spool and pull line until you get to next loop and repeat.
