    Maybe

How about 40000+ american troops sitting across from them? How would you feel if mexico asked china to send several divisions to our border to stop immigrants from crossing back and forth. Why hasn't there been a greater push by the UN for unification of the korean penisular? What happened when the germanys were united, there was termoil, still is in some part, but it happened. Beware of forigen [forgive the spelling] entanglements. Those words came from some of our earliest leaders. We ignored them.Weve been on this "nation building" kick for over 40 years, what has it gained US. Now we have a bunch of arab states trying to boycott Quatar, gee do you think that maybe the fact that it's our largest military out post in that part of the middle east. So how come it's now on the verge of being isolated, except by us. I'm proud of my service tour, 29 months in germany, the marshall plan helped rebuild part of europe, and were letting our country hang in the breeze. OK war hawks, if our military is so **** good, why havn't we won a war since 1965? The thought of british troops being quartered in private residences, was a contributing factor to the war of indepence, are we so smug, that we don't believe other nations could feel that way? It pisses me off to see hundreds of undocumented workers here, and more on the way.

    Quite simple.....Politicians.

And it is a lot further than 1965.

    * Eisenhower stopped Douglas MacArthur from the military objectives in North Korea. Which is why we have NORTH KOREA. That was a effed up political decision.

    * Rules of engagement in Viet Nam and the inability to DESTROY their military targets lead to a prolonged engagement there. Again, Politics. Targeting silly ass bridges not on supply chains and not destroying their factories, is why Vietnam took so long. Carpet Bombing and LineBacker II brought them back to the negotiating table, and ended the Vietnam conflict.

    * Rules of engagement in the Gulf War. George Bush had a political mandate from the UN, and instead of saying EFF the UN, he stopped short of destroying Saddam. In hindsight, that was a mistake, and while I applaud Bush for following the Mandate, I believe the UN was wrong, and Saddam should have been obliterated. That lead to Gulf War II.

    * Rules of engagement and politics in Gulf War II. Obama got elected on a promise, and he fulfilled his POLITICAL promise, and our war fighters came home. 17 years later, we're still in the shitholes of Afghanistan and IRAQ.

Yea......get POLITICS out of war fighting, and MAGA.......No one is skared of the United States military might......we go in, destroy **** for a while and leave. We need to go in, Destroy **** completely and put out the ashes....then rebuild it. Like we did with Japan, like we did with Germany.

    BULLS---

Since when has war been an engagement that leaves the victor to rebuild the damage? that is military intelligence. Weve been at rebuilding Iraq for who knows how long? Was that the plan? What did we gain out of that folly, corruption that was even greater than before saddam. War lords in trashcanistan who have become even wealthier with american cash. But I guess thats the way we do things. After our civil war, after abe called for unity, and compassion, guess who arrived to take over the spoils, We called them carpet baggers, folks who profit from the misery of others.Maybe it's an american trait. You guys remember what ronnie said? beware of the guy who says I'm from the government and I want to help you. Well weve exported that theme. Except we added a wrinkle to it. Were here to help you at OUR expense.
