Big dead bass observed in the back of Kuttawa Harbor

I fish for crappie and redear in the very back of Kuttawa Harbor/Lake Barkley, it sits on the other side of I-24. Anyway, today we were fishing down there when I noticed this huge fish floating belly up. I didn't pay much attention to it because I thought it was just another 8 or 9 pound dead carp.

Another fisherman brought it to my attention that it was actually a humongous largemouth bass. So I walked over to it again and sure enough, it's a monster bass. It didn't look hurt at all, what in the world caused this fish to die? I guess it might've been natural causes because as stated, he was old and huge...prolly 8 or 9 pounds. Hadn't been dead too long either.

I hope she had some sister and brothers that are still in good health living in the area! I will fish that area some this year as I'm not that far away;was already there once but didn't catch anything but it was when conditions were bad.The big lakes have been tuff for me so far this year but I have had some really good catches on small lakes and ponds already.You should have gotten a picture of that Bass.
