I tried to target some shellcrackers Sat. 5/14 at Barkley with no luck;and not many large Bluegills either. Do you think the spawn is about over or do i just need better spots? My son said you would think a grown men that can fish decently could do decent at catching bluegill but we got our feelings hurt. lol

Barkley can humble you really fast, particularly if you don't have experience on it. I am fortunate enough that I have a handful of spots that produce. The best way to find the beds on big lakes is with side imaging.
