LOL The same thing happened to us Monday night. Fish all over the place and nothing to show for the effort. We went to Conley Bottoms last night but the rain and lightning was too much for us and we called it quits.

We put in @ JT dock last night and fished back toward Wolf Creek till about 1 am (nothing) and then came back out and went in another creek back to the right as we came out of Wolf. Back in there shad were moving real good and fish feeding right off the bank in front of us and still (NOTHING). Try throwing Slivers, Red Fins, Bombers, Rico, Thundersticks (Nothing). Could not figure it out fish seem to be feeding pretty good but not on anything we throwed. Can`t figure it out.

the old man i used to go with would use a catfish rig with with a big shad when they would do that,we usually caught something.put one of the glowsticks on the bobber to see it and adjust til you find the right depth.
We fished friday night also. We didn't catch but 1 or 2 until about 2:30. Then they turned on. The Fish were against the banks for sure. We ended up catching 11 stripers and about 7 or 8 largemouth/smallmouth. The stripers really didn't have any size to them though. We caaught 2 that weighed about 12 pounds and the rest were in the 5-8 pound range. So we had a pretty good night.

I am going down for a couple of nights this week. If you don't mind, would you tell me if you found fish still in the creeks or had they made it to the main lake bluffs yet?
Hey Elwood,,,,I didn`t hear the phone ring to be asked to go...LOL What night you all going? I might drag the junky Ranger along and do some fishin too.
Went friday night also.. Took a neighbor of mine that has never caught a striper. He caught one 19.3lbs. I honestly had more fun watching him fight and land that fish than catching one myself. We never got bit until about 2:30 then had 4 total by 4am. It wasn't until we started working the slivers like a jerkbait that we got bit. 2nd cast working like that got one 15lbs. You had to work the sliver hard and fast to get a hit. He already reserved a seat in the boat for next w/e LOL...
Never left the creek. Topwater worked the best for us. I would crank a little and let it set for a few seconds. They would hit it while it was still. Nothing like catching em on topwater. Man i love that sound.
I am going by myself and have not finalized the cottage yet. I can get one with 2 beds if you want to go for pennies more and you can leave your junky Ranger at the house and we can fish out of my junky Tracker. I am driving down Tuesday afternoon and fishing Tuesday night, Wednesday night and Thursday night. Let me know if you want to go, 502-226-0935.
You guys make me sick LOL Here I am in Mississippi with all this water and rivers around me and nothing to fish with. Elwood you all take it easy on those stripes this week and save me a few. When I get back to Kentucky Friday night/ Saturday morning I'm coming with a vengeance. The fish have been avoiding me for two weeks now and I hope to wreak havoc when I get back. Good luck to you all.
Same thing has happened too me twice now, I'm getting pretty discouraged on this striper thing. We put in @ JT dock last night and fished back toward Wolf Creek till about 1 am (nothing) and then came back out and went in another creek back to the right as we came out of Wolf.
