My fishing buddy and I fished on Memorial Day at Cannelton. From 6:45- 8:30 we caught and released at least 30 going from 5lb to 10lb. The fish we in the jumps and were hitting on topwater baits. What a blast, made our wrists beg for rest. At 8:30 they turned off the switch.
Sounds like you had a great time there. Care to share how close to the dam and what kind of top water baits you were using? How far do you have to go from the ramp? Wanting to give it a try so any info will be appreciated. My fishing buddy and I fished on Memorial Day at Cannelton. From 6:45- 8:30 we caught and released at least 30 going from 5lb to 10lb. We were just inside the warning line and the ****. We were using large "skitter pops" and we were making as long a cast as we could. We fished the edge of the fast water coming from the last open gate. Hope this helps.
It does, thanks.
Were the skipjack hitting as well? I need bait for the catfish.
Tracker35, The skipjacks are definetly hitting, I don't know how many we caught or how many hits we had on top water or casting spoons.
Thanks guys, Now all I need is to get out there
