I have heard rumors that dale hollow is lowering the water so much that hardly any of the ky boat ramps will be usable for this winter. Is this true about the water level. If so I will have to reconsider my fnf plan because I travel a long way bout a 3 hours drive. Any info will help.

You can still use the state park ramp with little problem. Hendricks Creek is usually ok in the winter also.
Not sure what you would call little problem but i used the ramp last week and this is the toughest ive seen to launch at state dock. You only have 1 lane to use, inbetween the custosy dock and the house boats, stay on that side. The rest of the ramp is a complete drop off. As you start into the water the ramp has a hole that drops off a bit. Just take your time and go slow. Stay about 6 inches to a foot off the curb and should be fine.

Skeeter where yall gonna put in later this month...are many going from the club?
We put in at Wisdom this weekend, but it is getting down to a critical level for launching. If you launch out of Wisdom, you must stay on the left side facing the water. They have dumped some gravel on the far left side which prevents your trailer from dropping off, but the right side with the concrete doesn't have enough gravel over the edge to prevent a sudden drop off. Maybe they will add some gravel when it gets to the "sever" level.
Hendricks creek is still usable, just keep your motor trimmed up while launching, there is a hump of gravel at the end of the concrete from prop wash. Lake level as of 6am this date is 635.14 and still falling. If it falls another foot probably only smaller boats will be able to launch.
Thanks for all the replys on the condition of dale hollow guys. I was just trying to figure out what my plans are going to be. I heard it is going to drop all the way down to 631. What on earth are they thinking by doing this?????? But anyway I have the fnf fever and im already tying jigs and lining my reels up with some braid and flourocarbon leaders..lol No matter what I will find a way to put my boat in the hollow this winter!!!!!!

The Float and Fly Get together is fine. Thomas has assured me that he is going to do what it takes to keep the ramp at Horse Creek Dock open.
FOLKS.. .this is going to be the best opportunity to catch a monster smallmouth in years. With less water the fish are concentrated in smaller areas and easier to find. Along with that is the constant movement of the crawfish the Smallmouth Candy, which has to move to stay near the dropping water levels.
Add to that concentrated baitfish and the best chance at a NEW world record is going to be over the next few years.
