Looking to try my hand at fnf the end of this month and was wondering if any tackle stores sold any of the hand tied jigs that I here about on here. Help with size, material type and color would be appreciated. Also, Iwas in walmart this morning and noticed a slip bobber shaped like bobbers I've seen recomended for fnf called a twist-n-lock. It is designed for light lines with a rubber cap on top that when twisted works as a bobberstop. Has anyone seen or tried these? Looking forward to learning another technique and can be a change of pace from the striper fishing we do in the winter. As always, thanks in advance for your input. tech.

If you're anywhere near a BPS they sell everything that you need. The websites mentioned above will tell you everything you need to know about set-ups, colors and where to fish it.
I have yet to try FnF, but I have tried those bobbers. You can also partially fill them with water for some weight to help you cast. I didn't like them myself, but I did see a guy once using those to trail jigs through the water, and he said he liked them for that. Me, if I'm going to use a slip bobber, which I do like, I'm going to stick with a good balsa float. But neither of these types of floats is really compatible with FnF. Go to the web sites the other responders listed, you'll see what I mean.
If you are around the Somerset area get a hold of some jigs made by M&W - many have said they are best you can get. If you are not around Somerset let me know and I can get you a phone number.
Wrong bobber.. they are talking about Bob's Bobber.. it is weighted in the middle and made of styrofoam, not the clear bobber you fill with water..I have yet to try FnF, but I have tried those bobbers. When a fish comes up underneath the bobber lays over like it is sitting on the bottom.. Read the articles on float and fly here and on FloatandFly.com

Thanks for sending me back to school. The first time I visited those websites I guess I focused on rod, reel, line, jig and casting not the bobber. I do live close to a BPS but was hoping to try some of the jigs I here about on here that are hand tied and sold locally. Also what color and weights to use under different conditions. Will be trying fnf out the end of this month out of Lees Creek. That could change if neccessary. Thanks again for the advice. T
