Good question. I have several different baits, by three companys. Most of them are at least partialy silver.I'm impressed with the rapala lures, have three lucky lures, and personaly dont see what the extra 6 bucks is for.Got a heck of a lot of rouges, used them quite a bit when I lived up north.

Rogues I guess would be my number 1, then maybe a Rapala thin shape stick bait..... Used to tear them up on that Stick bait up in Indiana around the grass beds in the spring.......Twitch & Jerk, twitch & Jerk, pause...then do it again...some really awesome strikes on these baits.....

Re: Favorite Color and types of Jerkbaits

The one I have caught the most fish on here on KY lake is the Lucky Craft pointer in Table Rock Shad - I thought the color was odd, but I tried one, and caught I have caught a ton of fish on it. I also like the chart. shad, american shad, and aurora black pointers. I also really like the aurora black staysee's too.

I do think Megabass Visions (110) are going to surpass lucky craft's as my favorite jerkbait this year. They have an awesome action, both on the jerk and slow retrieve (they have a great tight wobbel). I caught 8 keepers on one last weekend - the first time I have ever had one on.

Both of these are a little pricey, especially the megabass - I don't want you all to think I am a lure snob. I only get the more expensive lures in the jerkbaits - you hardly ever lose them. They only run a few feet deep, and most of the time you are fishing them in 15 foot of water. I still haven't dropped the money on regular crankbaits, and probably never will, unless my bandits quit working - but for jerkbaits, spend a few extra dollars and it will be worth it.

Apparently everyone loves that Table Rock Shad color on Ky Lake! Everyone I've talked to speaks of it like it's the greatest thing ever. Looked at Bass Pro here in Clarksville the other day, and that color was no where to be found...and it was the only one sold out...guess the word is out on it! I've never used it, but pretty well keep my colors to three main ones: blue/chrome, gold/black, and shad color...and the fourth I keep on hand for rare occasions, but when it works, man does it work - Fire Tiger
