I will be down there next week too on Barkley around the state park. Has anyone tried fishing Barkley at all? I know it is muddy, but can you still catch them.

Don't know KY Lake that well and wouldn't know where to start at.

Jim IMO the only thing worse than cold water is cold muddy water. Maybe by the time you get here Barkley will have cleared up a lil. Barkley is not unfishable its just a lil easier to find and catch fish on Ky because of the cleaner water... If you get here and have a hard time on Barkley give Ky a try, Read Daves fishing report and try to find similar areas on Ky..........Good Luck

    Re: Ky Lake & Barkley

Heavy Storms expected Wed, the day I'm supposed to arrive. I guess I can sharpen my hooks and respool lines if its too bad. I may just head to KY, just more intimidating to me than Barkley. I've never done well on KY Lake, but from what I'm hearing this year so far, that is the place to be.
    Thanks for the info Nitro.

Either come down and fish KY (read Dave's report or simply ask the fellas here how to fish it) or stay home. Barkley is a mudhole right now. Not to mention all the debris floating downstream....it's flat our dangerous! DO NOT go to Barkley next week.
