    Re:No defense for Big Oil

As for building more refineries in the USA, the oil companies have not built any new one because they cost too much to build AND they have an incentive to not increase production. Increasing production will not increase their Profits when the world is running out of oil. And refineries have no effect what so ever on the price of OIL. OPEC has driven the price of OIL up by refusing to pump more oil. The OIL companies are driving the price of GAS up by refusing the build more refineries. Those people are not going to do anything to reduce their profits.

Don't blame me for this problem. Blame those that keep lying to people in order to keep us under the BIG OIL companies grasp.

Crude Oil Prices are going up and even Glen Beck (GOP TV TALKING HEAD) says that oil is drying up and prices will never come back down. He thinks that in the future we will think of $4.00/gallon gas prices as the "GOOD OLD DAYS".

I like Fox it gives me an opinion different than the run of the mill stuff from CNN, NBC, CBS and ABC. Nothing wrong with that!

The US Government is capable of protecting everyone from our enemies so I think that it can protect us for the greedy OPEC people and the greedy US oil companies.

I'd rather trust our oil supply to the US government under Obama than to the sand people from Saudi Arabia.
If Obama wins, you won't have to worry about the U.S. Government controlling anything, it will be the U.N. controlling this country and what a sad day that will be.

I now understand how socialist get elected....please take care of us, we cannot take care of ourselves!

Re: In Defense of "Big Oil"

Big oil is not the main problem. Could be the Main problem is that most of our oil is sold to us by our enemies and countries that only like us for our money. The Saudies slapped Bush in the face the other day when they refused to up production and then made the statement that their gas prices were .50 CENTS a gallon. The Saudies and the OPEC nations are the one resposible for this mess, along with a greedy US administration. Cheney is the one who has profited from all the war gas etc. Bush is just a pawn to stupid to relize he has been made a joke by his administration. Yes Grumpy we could drill more oil in Alaska, and we have the tech to do it without hurting the wildlife. But we also need to find other sources of energy as oil will no last forever and it takes a long time to make and it takes death to make oil as we all know oil is what is left of EXTINCT animals and dinosaures. Someday we all will be oil too.Blood makes oil; blood is spilled for oil. Weird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: In Defense of "Big Oil"

What we need in this country is one party (the Republicans preferably) that way our taxes would be less. We would have a strong military (one that is not stretched to its limit with a few troops doing what a lot should be doing in 20 countries at the same time). We would have less young men and women looking for work or standing in the unemployment line. I really like the idea of using national guard folks in Iraq and all the other wars we are in cause it keeps the chances of my maid and chauffer from being stopped at the border when they visit there folks. With the promotion of free enterprize there would be competion among the oil companies which would keep our gas prices down where there are now $1.78 per gallon or less. Our schools would be on a merit based plan where if a teacher didn't go out and hand cuff the parents and bring them in for parent teacher conferences they would be fired (thats assuming they can figure out who the father is). I really like the tax breaks that I was given when I decided to move my company to Taiwan. Free health care my ass I feel if you can't afford to buy it your self get a government job with all these benefits. Don't tell me you can't get a job for the government go out and shake some hands, delivery some flyers and kiss some candidates feet and they will repay you with a spot at the trough.

$3.65 a gallon in Lexington at 8:30am, $3.95 a gallon in Lexington at 9:15am. No way the gas in the ground at the stations became that more valuable in 45 minutes. Wednesday morning just before a holiday weekend, sure sounds like Price Gouging to me no matter what party is in charge. I don't vote, never voted and never will vote for if Bonnie does not get you Clyde will.

Re: In Defense of "Big Oil"

    Solution:1
OPEC is getting buy with murder and if this country does not wake up and start kicking some Saudi A** right now we won't be able to later on.

    Solution 2:
Develop an alternative to oil and tell the Saudis to kiss our As**.

The choice is up to us.

Today the price of gasoline hit 3.99 in Evansville, IN. Just they planned. The news media was going on and on about how gas would reach $4.00/gallon by Memorial Day. Now tell me how they can see into the Future so accurately and timely. That does not happened by chance. It was PLANNED.

America has seen it's better days unless we make the right choices and do it fast. I am tired of all those that don't have a clue telling us bs. Stop the BS and do what's right for this country before it's too late.

Re: In Defense of "Big Oil"

On the evening news last night they said it would be $5.00 and higher by the end of the year. Add in the flour shortage and bread is projected at $4 per loaf which means all other flour products will be thru the roof as well. It will be that people can't afford to drive to work or eat before it is all said and done. We are heading for a MAJOR depression of which we have never seen before considering all the people that are in America today versus the population when the last MAJOR depression hit. You will see more 2 and 3 generation families living together, more crime and theft, plus other illegal activities as people do what people have to do to stay alive. I for one have decided to learn how to Crappie and Walleye fish to put meat in the freezer and just may take up Deer hunting for the same reason. We do what we have to do to survive.

Tell it Woody... this is exactly what we are headed for, Two classes of people will be left standing. The FILTHY STINKING RICH AND THE DIRT POOR. I may just have to become Robin Hood. Like ole Hank said and I live by it,,,'' I can skin a buck and run a trot line, a country boy can survive''. Get-R-Done.
