    CAPITAL GAINS TAX

    MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

    OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)

    DIVIDEND TAX

    MCCAIN
    15% (no change)

    OBAMA
39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have money invested in the stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned in taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.')

    INCOME TAX

    MCCAIN

    (no changes)
    Single making 30K - tax $4,500
    Single making 50K - tax $12,500
    Single making 75K - tax $18,750
    Married making 60K- tax $9,000
    Married making 75K - tax $18,750
    Married making 125K - tax $31,250

OBAMA (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts)
    Single making 30K - tax $8,400
    Single making 50K - tax $14,000
    Single making 75K - tax $23,250
    Married making 60K - tax $16,800
    Married making 75K - tax $21,000
    Married making 125K - tax $38,750
Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!

    INHERITANCE TAX

    MCCAIN
    - 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

    OBAMA
    Restore the inheritance tax

Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

    NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA

New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!

Re: The difference between McCain and Obama

Great job Steemer. Pretty well sums it up if you axe me. The numbers of 'cutting' taxes for 95% of us don't seem to add up after you repeal that evil ole President Bush's tax cuts do they?

Well well well come to find out ole BO and Biden wants in more pockets than just those evil rich people's.

Okay how about it BO bandwagon boys? Any of y'all ever plan to move to a bigger house? You ready to give up 28% of your equity so the feds can spend it for you? You happy about paying extra if your new house is over 2400 sq ft? Those income tax figures look good to you? What if (god forbid) you get 'rich'? (These aren't lotto questions Pontooner, feel free to chime in.)

I heard a snippet from Biden last night where he was bragging about how he and BO were going to TAKE from the rich. He leaned forward nodding, a smug smile that got wider and wider as he made another point. Missed whatever that point was because I was mesmerized how wide and big his smile can grow. Haven't seen a smile that wide since Jabba the Hut.

First time I've heard them just out and out say what they were going to TAKE.

I don't post very often but I am tired of people defending Obama about how he is going to change everything for the better. The only way for this world to get better is for people to start believing that GOD is in control and to put God in control of their lives. I am not saying the McCain/Palin ticket is the best but I do think they have more to offer than Obama/Biden Ticket. I do think that McCain honestly wants what is best for our country.

You nailed it Mark! Made me chuckle.

The grinch turned good in the end, unfortunately it's about 22 years too late for Joe.

Steemer, jump in here and mix it up more often. Just be sure and don't mention God to liberals or they'll accuse you of being ignorant and backward.

    steemer,
That was some good reading right there! Keep up the good work. Now watch and see how the Libs justify those higher taxes....It usually starts with Bush is at fault and I'll do what is needed to get this once great country back on track. NEWS FLASH!!!!! We are the greatest country! The Libs don't want you to believe it until they have control of all the offices and then overnight we will be great again, yeah right!

LOL! You have got the game down pretty good! But I was wondering what Alabama has to do with anything? I know they won yesterday and I even have a friend (just one) that says "Go Bama" when I say "Go Gators"!
