FIshed the lower today ,tried to go to the upper but water was too low .Got 2 hybrids lost a big one and foul hooked the biggest shad I have ever seen.Maybe they are coming back!

No sauger and I brought minnows today . Want to say hi to the dude in the red & yellow nitro who ran right up where we were casting with his gas motor..

Just an FYI if you run the big motor over top of stripers over at the spillway it spooks them and no one catches any fish !!!! What happened to common courtesy??? And I do want to apologize for throwin my blade bait near your boat and causing you to get tangled in my line and giving you that nasty bird nest .

Anyway I think the jax salmon can be caught near the "chute" Ralph at the bait shop said he seen 3 boats anchored over there last night.I think that is where I will try tomorrow

I need to get out there. Ive been up there once since I bought a boat earlier this year, kinda got spooked. In hindsight, it wasnt that bad. I just followed other boats up the chute and around to the left past that little island then straight on to the spillway. Sound about right?

No one was catching jack when I was there so I just assumed people didnt know what they were doing, like me.

Where is it safe to anchor up and fish the spillway? I saw some boats motoring up in the current then on the trolling motor to keep them from drifting back too fast. Seemed like alot of work.

Any tips?

By the way, I work on the top floor of the Humana building downtown and I have a clear view of the upper and I see a boat or two up there just about every day, I saw one yesterday. How do they get up there?

LOL,Man i been promising him a trip since spring,and Doug you know were going.Hell well all pile up in your boat if need be.Im sure well be the first to go,you know how last minute me and you are.
Oh yea i also have a promised trip to Dad,my kids,Bandit1,DJD,my neighbor,mechanic,Bassking,and im sure im missing somebody.Im going to need a pontoon or tug boat.

ill let Doug go first since we have been every other day for the last two weeks or so. i just got back around 2 today. caught around ten cats and two hybrids. we didnt go up the the lower though. had a newbie with me (father in law) so we fished tripod and another hole.the fogg this morning was bad see ya out there.

Yeah man I'm ready....but very busy with Swim Meets and hopefully some hunting this time of year. I'll do my best when you find a chance to get out.
