Congrats on the smallies!
"their guy won"
As I've stated before, he was not my guy.

Midol didn't work for me, going fishing was the only cure for the way the election turned out. Went to Dale yesterday and caught some fat brown fish. Lost one that treated me like a chickenhead, never even got her near the boat even after 2 full minutes of tussling. Magnificent creatures, them smallheads.
As one of the vocal opponents of President elect Obama, I congratulate him on his win and will give him a fair chance to succeed. I'll admit considerable pessimism, his socialist economics are IMO the totally wrong answer, but my team lost and that's that. I'm just gonna wait for my tax cut, give Mr.and see how it goes.
Can't say that I blame Col, Andrew, Pontooner, Bobby, and others for having a tingle running up their collective legs right now, their guy won. My sincere congratulations to y'all.
If your guy does good, I promise to give you your due. Mr. Obama made a lot of promises and I expect him to keep them, so be forewarned. If any of the following things happen:
1. The economy continues to be negative after 2 years
2. We suffer a terrorist attack on our soil any time during his term
3. We who are not rich don't get our tax cuts
4. He practices partisan politics instead of the politics of change
I WILL ride you like a rented mule.
PL, the cut and paste wonder boy telling people to think for themselves, to leave the country, and gloating is another matter entirely. I'll throw a saddle on his back anytime. Not sure he (or she) could pour pee out of a boot with the directions on the heel. Note I didn't call the soon to be President stupid names PL, far as I'm concerned he deserves the respect the office commands.
God bless America!
Saddles and skin ointment are on sale at TSC.
Congrats on the smallies!

I hope he does well too, only time will tell that.
Congrats on the smallies - I only see smallies here in the early spring up to about may. Every once in a while I will luck upon some. I think I have reached the age that I would rather catch a big smallie than anything. Yes anything.

Wondered what happened to ya? I watched the news looking for you as well.Figured you would be on there holding PL or Moose hostage.
Gas is cheap so go fishing more often!
Hey Don, I was far away from the news out on the holler enjoying one of the most beautiful days the planet earth has to offer. The foliage was awesome, the fishing pretty good, the beverage cold, and I saw maybe 5 other boats all day. Fished from 7:30 am till past dark. The only disappointment was 'the one that got away', that was a very big fish. I'm telling myself it was a catfish to keep from losing sleep over missing the trophy sized brownie I've been after so long. Did boat some wide ones including a couple over 4, 3 over 3, and several others.
Thank you Devils Horse and I'll be watching how things play out right along with you, proably not with as much nit picking but I'm not one to give out free passes.
Congrats on the footballs, nothing better than some time on the water to get away from things.
Easy Col, anything's a big word, your wife may be reading this board. There are very few things that compare to your drag singing whilst a nasty brown fish works you over. I would recommend in the strongest terms you take one or more weekdays off between now and December to fish Dale Hollow.I hope he does well too, only time will tell that.

Awe my favorite fish will gills, them ole brown fish. They are truely awesome. I loved the post Jim and although I haven't said it I feel the same way. I don't want the man to fail because that just hurts me and mine. However I listened to those BS laiden speeches he gave and calculated every word just as I did McCain. Now the talk has been talked let's see the walk.
Thanks Mark. We can't afford for him to fail, the stakes are too high. If the guy governs toward the middle instead of extreme left, I hope we'll be okay. My biggest worry is he'll push a reccessive economy into a depression, and the country is very very different now than back in the 30's. A depression now would make the last one look like a bump in the road.
During the campaign I help beat Mr. Obama up bad anyone else did, but I love the United States of America and it's time for me to support the President.
Pontooner, I'll try not to nit pick but you'll have to help me stay on the righteous path. If he populates his cabinet with far left loonies and allows his party to hammer Leiberman for supporting McCain, that is not the politics of change, and it's going to become difficult for me.

Sorriest thing I have read since Nov. 5th.... The way they're turning on Lieberman, they got their numbers up and don't need him now for the Majority vote now.....
Not to mention that Obama is following along the footsteps of Bill Clinton...He's named Emmanuel as his Chief of Staff. who happened to be one of Clinton's Democratic Party ring masters.... Thought this guy was going to start fresh and his CHANGE would be different....Really looks like he's leaning toward putting the crooks back into office who held this Country back during Clinton's day's in Office.....
