I sure do hope somebody PHYSICALLY does Beat Charlie Moore and then maybe they will fill his slot with the best fishing show on TV today, Mark Zona and WGFS. Been "Baby Cubbed" and "Little Fatties" , and "Man Bear Pig" deprived too long. Don't forget the outdoor channel and versus because my DVR is already started filling up in just the past week with a bunch of other fishing shows. For information purposes you can't beat The Bass Pros that airs on VS for it is EXCELLENT in teaching and showing all different techniques by KVD, Clunn, Horton, King and other top pros.

I call it "Beat The H*** out of Charlie Moore". They cancel Schooled with Denny Brauer and keep this moran on the air, are you kidding me. Proves another reason why ESPN knows very little about fishing. Just look at their coverage of the Classic every year and you will see just what I am talking about.

I wish there was a bit more to choose from than mainly saltwater or bass tournament fishing.

I loved "schooled" the way Denny (who is one of the nicest guys EVER) would chastize the guys for grabbing their line was hilarious. I like Shaw Grigsby (second nicest to Denny) but don't care for the "one more cast" shows, Roland get under my skin, The Scott Martin challenge was OK I watch them on myoutdoortv.com just the other day. Bill Dance/Hank Parker has too many comercials. JMO

I hear people complain about the Classic coverage, but compared to what? The Classic coverage on ESPN is by far the best it has ever been. Jeez, used to be to watch the Classic you waited a month after the event and then it would be shown in a one hour episode on TNN!

Mark Zona is awesom and might be the only one to admit this, but I kind of like Charlie Moore's show.

I've got a lot of shows recorded with the commericals edited out on DVD's. Send me a PM and let me know what you want.

Re: Fishing TV Shows start soon

Roland Martin is the only fisherman I've ever seen that could make a bass grow three pounds just by reeling it in.

''Oh Son, Son, big giant five six seven maybe eight pound bass, Son''.
Oh wait a minute, I forgot that idiot Mike Iconelli can make one grow like that.
''Oh it's a giant, it's a monster, OMG Giant bass''..... Then he lands it and it's a 15 inch bass, LOL, What a tool.

Now Mark Zona is very entertaining, and I love his sense of humor. I also use to love Fish Fishburne, the only guy that could make a weigh in humorous. That drone they have right now is useless.

Re: Fishing TV Shows start soon

When the FLW was here on KY lake in 2000 I believe I met a bunch of the Chevy guys and Roland was one he was as stuck up to me as you could get, Tommy Biffle acted like I was bothering him, but.... Larry Nixon, Denny, David Fritz all great guys as nice as could be - I was going to meet my heroes I'm a grown man not a little kid so I didn't act like a child and to be snubbed like that was just wrong. The reason I am saying this is because last year my son was wanting to meet Iaconelli soooo bad but he had to work and couldn't get off and a friend of ours was getting an autograph from him and told him about my son and he took out his cell phone and called our house - I freaked when I answered the phone and he talked to my son and told him he was going to take him fishing next time he was in town (he has done this to someone else I know and he did just that) how good a guy is that? awesome and I respect that, my son loves him to death and that is "his" hero.

I agree Fish Fishburn was awesome and I almost feel bad when I see him MC some other club as good as he is/was. His show was pretty good too very entertaining

WGFS is the best show going IMO. Zona is too cool, funny and can flat out catch em! I'm also excited to see Going Coastal with Byron Velvick. The show sounds pretty cool. You can read more about it on Velvick's blog right here...

    http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/b...in_col_Velvick

On a side note... Mark, I agree, "Icon-idiot" is a big tool. He'll hook a 14 incher and yell, "I just won the tournament!!!" What???
