    Talking Here We Go Again

Well, guys it looks like I'm coming down with cabin fever. It is 15 degrees and we already have 3 inches of snow and are expecting up to an additional 8 inches within the next 24 hours. I've read until I'm seeing double, watched news until I'm going crazy, looked through the new Cabela's spring catalog, read everything interesting on this board, said my prayers, read my Bible, cleaned out the dresser drawers, drank a pot of coffee (almost), cleaned house, and done laundry. I can't go outside because there is ice on the walks and if I could, I can't go anywhere because I live on a snow covered hill and my Jeep would probably slide down the long drive, cross the road and into my neighbors yard. I have already started mentally renovating my home in Alabama but am sure that project will be finished as soon as I look at my check book. Since I'm from Alabama and can cook some mean "soul food" I'm considering that as my next project. Any suggestions on what I should cook? Mountain oysters, brains, chitlins, pig feet, roadkill, and liver excluded.

My wife and I would like to help you out. You could do the house cleaning, the laundry, paint a room and fix something to eat for us. In return it should help your cabin fever and I would even put on a pot of coffee for you.

    LOL!

I know where you are comeing from. Our power was off here for a few days. We about went nuts not that we are not already. I see that the weather news is calling for 63 on Sat. so I think I will see what the fishing is like on Barren.

I hope that you all can get out soon and enjoy your selves.

Put a bag of suitcase butterbeans in the crock pot. Add a wedge of fatback, country ham, or your choice of flavoring and pour in a can of chicken stock.

Put an iron skillet of cornbread in the oven. Do NOT use sugar or flower in it.

Fry up some chicken taking care to go heavy on the black pepper in the batter.

Break out a fresh jar of pepper sauce (mild, medium, or hot). Leave it on the table open just to aerate the room properly.

Cut a Vidalia onion and a large vine ripened tomato into slices and put them on saucers.

Serve this feast with tall glasses of iced spring water (tea works nicely if you like) and follow it up with a gigantic wedge of pecan pie.

Dang I just slobbered on my keyboard.

Dag gone ya' Mhall...guess I'll say it again too...Global Warming is real man! The folks closer to the north pole notice it a lot more than we do (or don't). Nice temps this weekend could mean hitting the farm pond and casting along that wind blown bank.

Say it all you want to Chub, I say it's Horses..., fill in the blank. Where are you gonna find a farm pond that gonna be thawed this weekend Chub, NO WAY brother. Again they are saying single digits the next two nights. I've had more single digit lows at my house this year than I have had in over ten years.

Chub, NOAA released a statement a few weeks ago that claimed the EARTH has been an average of 2 degrees colder than any year in the last 8.

    Global Warming.....my Arse!!!!!!

    Re: Here We Go Again

Well, we ended up with 4 more inches of snow here in parts of Oldham County. I had at least 4 inches, the county to our east Henry had 5 inches in areas.

Good thing the Henny Penny Storm Team called for a dusting to 1 inch, LOL.

It's also 9 degrees here this morning to, I think we've traded climates with Minnesota, it's Tubby's fault......

    I really appreciate your help.

You need to know that my contract requires payment in advance.... coffee first! I'm bringing with me a pot of soup beans flavored with a chunk of smoked ham, a big "pone" of beer cornbread, a platter of fried pork chops, 'taters, slaw, sliced onion, and a big warm nana puddin. I'll soon have the tea made and be on the road. Am stopping by Lowe's to pick up a couple of gallons of paint; heard pink is your favorite color. I'll start the laundry while y'all eat.....I always like to take my time and put plenty of starch in men's underwear.
Now about the house cleaning. I'm fussy about clean bathrooms so if your aim is a little off I recommend you get in a little "target" practice before I get there. "I aim to please, YOU aim too, please." See you soon.

Wish I ate like that brother. I do eat my share of bad stuff, but my boss at home makes me eat some stuff that's healthy too. We can't afford to be buying me new britches every week.

Come ahead on, what kind of dressing do you like on your salad?
