What a mess!!!!!

I am still without power and probally will be another week before it is back up. It looks like a war zone here, trees poles everywhere.I have not seen anything like this since the 93? 94? ice storm that hit southern Ky, Glasgow area, we were out three weeks then. I got gen and Kerosen heater, just wish I had a gas hot water heater, but I now know what is needed to stock up on when this happens again. Living like a pioneer, somewhat like camping in your house, also have a coleman cook stove, so though somewhat a little inconvenience, we are surviving, not much else to do, we just got power back up at my work, Tues, so this has been my first time to get on here.Glad to see that you guys surived,like Ole Hank jr say's " a country boy can survive".

Bobby, I got a double burner propane heater, a tank, lanterns, propane camp stove, camping gear, etc. If you need to use any of it, say the word and I'll bring it to you. If my family can help yours in any way, provisions or otherwise, please send me a message. Or call my cell at 792-1524.

That right there is what this site is all about! There are some dang good people on this site like none I've ever seen elsewhere.

I told the wife the other night that if this winter was the norm around here instead of a rarity, my rear end would be going south and but fast.
Too many more of these and you boys will see my post from Florida where my Uncle resides, they can have this crap!

Here's the view of my driveway on wednesday, tuesday the roads were much better then after it rained all day Wed. it froze and then all the heck broke loose. Where these trees are laying is normally where my ranger sits!!! Luckily I brought it to my shop and had it inside replacing a water pressure gauge!!!! I live on the lake not too far from Dave S.

I hear you top. Wife is going to her mothers to do laundry tommrow, what is bad that we both cannot leave at the same time due to keeping an eye on the place, people are starting to steal more and such. Still will be another week until I have elec, we are on the last line in my section and there are hundreds of poles down. But its like camping in your home, thank god for versus, got free preview this mth, will have to upgrade now. Hang in there for those still without power, we are survivors. Also thanks for the support and offers from all those, this is a great site and board, makes me proud to be a memebr of this group.
