By upper lake I mean the 312 bridge area. I would try that for numbers....for big fish I would actually fish Holly Bay to the dam, or to Line Creek. Also try Spruce Creek during the spring.

Thank you very much Cumberlandguy1 !
Anyone else?
Surely there are some more/other successful Laurel walleye folks here who can pass on some much needed information![]()
Ace, you probably won't need any more help as the fish are in those spots right now.
Thank you again so much cumberlandguy1, we didn't get to go today as hoped/planned, (hate when "life" interferes with fishing)now with the bad/cold weather and work etc. looks like "maybe" Wednesday at the earliest

About Spruce Creek about how far up there would you start out trying to find them?
Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate the info. I am thinking about trying it on wed. or Thur. evening. If anyone goes let us know how you did.
We're heading out now , hoping to go tomorrow also....."hope" to have a report![]()
The method I hear so much about in the Spring is fishing topwater at night. A Rico seems to be the bait of choice. I tried it 2 or 3 times last year and finally caught one walleye the last time I tried it. Spinnerbait is also a great lure in Spring (April, May).
What about it guys anyone been?? I am probably going to go next week, should I go during the day and troll or use live bait. I am wondering what type of bait to use, when and where. I have never caught a Walleye in all my fishing but would love to get into some on Laruel. I only live about 15min from flattwoods and about 5min from 312 where would you put in at???
We're hoping the "warmup" will happen and we can go tomorrow IF the wife gets over her severe cold by then (bad way to spend one's 27th wedding anniversary with such a terrible cold)
I'd guess 312 would be "the place" to put in for "numbers of 'eyes " this time of year....??
I'd imagine that right now you'd get more males ??
Well, did you get to go and if so, any results to report? What about it guys anyone been?? I am probably going to go next week, should I go during the day and troll or use live bait. We "may" get to sneak off for a bit tomorrow, going to be a very nice day on Laurel either way but some nice fat 'eyes would make it even better!
