    Kentucky Lake or Green River?

    Guys, I need your input...

My father-in-law, Uncle, and I are going fishing Tues-Wed next week. My question for you all...if you were going that week and wanted the best chance to catch some nice bass, would you go to...

    a) Kentucky Lake
    b) Green River Lake

I will definetly report back on how we do at either place, just curious as to what you all think would be the best choice. We were originally planning on Kentucky Lake, but after reading the reports on Green River of huge bags being taken, I'm not sure now. Thanks!

KY-Lake....Green is a hit or miss lake. Its only 8,000 acres and with this rain coming Sat. it could muddy up quick.

Ky Lake, without a doubt. You can catch bass until you get tired, and relax and fill the well's up with crappie. I don't see the bass slowing up too much, maybe a little depending on which day - but overall it has been, and will be great here for a while. The crappie bite has been just as hot too. I've seen pics of your crappie trips, so you know what to do better than me, if you want to get into those.

Hi fellas....I'm coming down to Kentucky Lake at the end of May and am fishing out of Paris Landing. Any advice/insights that you have would be appreciated.

It is hard to even think of passing up Kentucky Lake, and from the sound of it, looks like you all think it is the right choice as well. We definetly have had some excellent crappie trips there in the past. I figure that is where we will go. Just sounded like some guys were going crazy about Green River here lately.

Just thought of something else I wanted to ask. I've only been to Kentucky Lake to crappie fish. Will the bass be in the same area, i.e. Blood River or Johnathan's Creek? Thanks.

For the most part, they will be moving shallower shortly, look for channel banks a place where the deeper water comes close to the bank
