well a good pair adn a good deal rarely coincide so i had to go with the good pair.... i got solar bats with the green lenses adn i love them dad had a pair of walmart brand and when we was on gville i could see a fish plain as day adn he still couldnt till he put mine on... they cost around 80 dollars but they are lightweight adn if i broke them tommorrow i got my moneys worth... but be sure and get the green lenses cause the blue lenses are for offshore fishing.... i would recommend the solar bats for sure they are worth their weight in gold... i cant leave the house without mine on... i even wear them driving in the rain cause i can honestly see better with them on thru the rain....

Spend the extra $$$ and get some Costa Del Mars. They are, by far, the best fishing-specific sunglasses I have ever owned! They are also great to wear in general.

You guys should really look into the Wiley-X sunglasses. They also have fishiing specific glasses that are excelent. They are not cheap though

I just bought the Oakley MonsterDog fishing specific in the shallow blue lenses and absolutely love them. Oakley fixed the distortion problems they were having with their polarized lenses and these are crystal clear. Not cheap though, 165.00 at BPS.

Solar Bats are great glasses - just about all that have been mentioned are. The difference with them is the service of the company. I have a $250 pair of Oakleys that are scratched - they wanted a mint to replace the lenses. I lost a lense out of my Solar Bats last summer and they said to send them back. I sent them in on a Monday and on Friday, they sent me my glasses back with a new, fresh from the labratory, lense. Now my son scratched up my glasses (he is 3). They said send them back with $15 per lense and we will replace them for you.

You might find other good glasses, but you will not find a company that will treat you this well.

I reckon it depends on how much you want to 'invest' in them. Like Ryan said, you can get polarized specs at Wally-world, and they will work. Costa's are really good, but you will definitely pay for them. Check on Sierra Trading Post, they carry quite a few different sunglasses, sometimes you can get good deals. Same thing with Sportsman's Guide. My most recent ones are Native's, and I like 'em.

I had a pair of Costa's I loved - they are somewhere between sugar bay and pisgah in the main river channel. I've had cheaper ones from Wal-mart, that served their purpose as well. To get a high quality pair of polarized shades, you will have to pay more. The cheaper lenses have a polarized coating.

The best pair I have ever owned are the ones I currently have. I got them from my eye dr. with a minor prescription. They still cost me over $100, but they are worth every penny.

Natives are awesome. Lots of different frame styles. Mine came with polarized lenses, an amber lens, a yellow lens, and clear lenses. The yellow lenses are awesome on a clooudy day. They still cut glare and make it so you can see forever. The polarized lens technology that they use is great two. Lifetime warranty. Less than the costas that i looked at at Bass Pro. I have the silencers. I just got them replaced because i broke the last pair. Sent me brand new glasses and lenses no questions asked.
