TOO MANY, but there are lots of reasons for this.

    LMBV............

Killed 1/3 of the bass in one of my FAVORITE fishin holes........REALLY, REALLY bad. On top of that someone decided it was a good idea to spray for vegatation........

Yea, the crap they used to KILL the vegatation is safe for fish, but spraying in the Middle of summer, and FRONT to BACK instead of BACK to FRONT trapped every fish in the EVERY cove............suffocating them...........TALK about a MESS.

That once Favorite Lake is no longer fished......Maybe one day it will be fishable again........I DOUBT IT.

    Later,

    Geo

I have seen this on the lake here where i live but i usually dont see it until mid- fall. I think it is from the heat. The fish tempt to go deeper and there is not enough oxygen and it just makes them week.

I agree with Wormin. There are so many reasons why fish die. If one could get a fish like this to the firshery biologist for testing then they would know the cause. Bacteria, virsuses, parasites, being trapped then released on fishing line, etc. Who knows. But if increasing numbers start to show up I am sure the biologist will get involved.

If you could put the fish in a bag and put it on ice, it would be best I would think. But you are right about putting a sick bass in the livewell.
