Union Thugs Deliver Unprovoked Beating on Black Conservative at Carnahan Town Hall

Email from eye witness and attorney confirms that SEIU-logo’d thugs attacked and beat a black man for distributing Gadsen flags following a Town Hall in St. Louis County on Thursday. Race was a factor in the beating.

    August 7, 2009

    Dear Mr. Hennessy:

I am Kenneth Gladney’s attorney. Kenneth was attacked on the evening of August 6, 2009 at Rep. Russ Carnahan’s town hall meeting in South St. Louis County. I was at the town hall meeting as well and witnessed the events leading up to the attack of Kenneth. Kenneth was approached by an SEIU representative as Kenneth was handing out “Don’t Tread on Me” flags to other conservatives. The SEIU representative demanded to know why a black man was handing out these flags. The SEIU member used a racial slur against Kenneth, then punched him in the face. Kenneth fell to the ground. Another SEIU member yelled racial epithets at Kenneth as he kicked him in the head and back. Kenneth was also brutally attacked by one other male SEIU member and an unidentified woman. The three men were clearly SEIU members, as they were wearing T-shirts with the SEIU logo.

Kenneth was beaten badly. One assailant fled on foot; three others were arrested. Kenneth was admitted to St. John’s Mercy Medical Center emergency room, where he was treated for his numerous injuries. Kenneth was merely expressing his freedom of speech by handing out the flags. In fact, he merely asked people as they exited the town hall meeting whether they would like a flag. He in no way provoked any argument or altercation, as evidenced by the fact that three assailants were arrested.

We hope that Kenneth fully recovers from his injuries; however, he is in great pain at this time. We will be pursuing legal action at our discretion. This was a truly senseless hate crime carried out by racist union thugs. Regretfully, Representative Carnahan’s statements blaming Kenneth for being a disruptive force are wholly untrue and slanderous. We would like to think that an elected official in Representative Carnahan’s position would gather accurate information before carelessly rushing to judgment.

Kenneth supports conservative ideals, although he subscribes to no particular political party. We are calling on the SEIU, Representative Carnahan, and President Obama to condemn the racist actions of these union thugs. In the days to come, we will be investigating whether these thugs are working at the behest of Representative Carnahan and how strong their alliances to various organizations–such as ACORN–may be.

We hope the St. Louis Tea Party and tea party organizations around the country will protest Representative Carnahan’s offices and also protest SEIU offices in every major city across the U.S. These Democratic strong-arm tactics must end now.

    Regards,

    Attorney David B. Brown

The St. Louis Tea Party coalition joins in the call for apologies from Carnahan, SEIU, and President Obama. This criminal attack was inspired by DNC and BarackObama.com propaganda. Only Thursday morning, the White House promised “punch back twice as hard.” Clearly, the goons of SEIU decided to draw the first blood.

We believe that this attack was planned and intended to create a riot to discredit the American political resistence. Luckily, the patriots who attend tea parties and town halls did not take the bait. Mr. Gladney did not fight back. Mr. Gladney, like Crispus Attucks, suffered for the promise of freedom — the freedom his race was so long denied. We salute Kenneth Gladney. We are proud that he is on our side.

We all pray for Ken. May he recover quickly and fully from his injuries inflicted by leftist thugs in an attempt to subvert his First Amendment rights.

    Re: More Acorn/Obama Strongarm Tactics

Last Friday, a series of events unfolded that leaves many questions unanswered. At a "Town Hall" function in Ringgold, VA attended by Obama Administration Secretaries Chu and Vilsack and Rep. Tom Perriello (D-VA), a series of events began to unfold involving Nigel Coleman, the Danville Tea Party Chairman.

Here is what Nigel reports as happening in a letter to Virginia Attorney General Bill Mims:

    · On Saturday, July 19, 2009, members of the Danville Tea Party attended a public function for Congressman Perriello and Obama Administration Secretaries Chu and Vilsack. Our plan was to ask some very direct questions related to the current healthcare reform bill being debated in Congress.

    · Danville Tea Party vice-chairman Bobby Conner and I rode together and met Patricia Evans and some other members and stood close to the front so we could get a chance to ask a question.

    · After a few minutes, what we believe to have been two Secret Service agents were standing next to us. There was also a uniformed police officer behind us. It seemed to a couple of us that they were all staring at us.

    · Realizing that we would not be allowed to ask a question of our Congressman at a supposedly “town hall” meeting, we decided to go to our cars and get signs which we intended to hold up at the exit from the farm. But as soon as we got the signs, a county sheriff’s deputy pulled up in a white SUV and a another deputy on foot told us that the owner of the property, Buddy Mayhew, wanted us to leave immediately and that we were not welcome.

    · We complied with the officer’s instructions without a word of protest. We left and everyone met up at a restaurant nearby to discuss what happened during the day and decide what to do next. As we were leaving to go home, Bobby was the first to notice an unmarked police car and officer calling our license plate numbers in over his phone.

    · That was unsettling enough. However, on Monday morning the police action escalated when the Virginia State Police showed up unannounced on Bobby’s doorstep and proceeded to question him regarding our presence at Saturday’s event, specifically something about a note one of our group passed to another asking him to take his picture with Rep. Perriello if the opportunity presented itself.

This raises several questions. How did the State Police become involved in this matter? Why did the State Police go to Bobby Conner on Monday? And is there a connection between Congressman Tom Perriello and the police on the events that have transpired?

Now you sound like the obama trying to use Bush as a scapegoat again....that's old and weak. Is everything that goes wrong gonna be Bush's fault?? Let obama stand on his own and fail on his own. He never has done that in his whole life, heck, maybe he can try that now. to see how it feels to take responsibility.

That sounds fair but you pubs can't use the "Dem's controlled Congress" and that is why were in the position were in now when defending Bush's presidency.

For the record I think there is plenty of blame to go around but just trying to figure out how all these political discussion rules work.

It looks like the revolution is about to start. People have been stocking up ammo since BO got elected. I wouldn't be surprised if they start using it on the the armed revenue collectors that show up on peoples door steps and ask questions about peoples business.

Personally, I don't think Bush's presidency needs defending of any kind. The backseat drivers who have tried to portray him as some kind of supervillain are the ones on the hotseat now and all they have done after denouncing his decisions is now say thats what we need to do....imagine that. What else would they or anyone else have done the same? Its like having a sixteen year old in the car throwing a tantrum wanting to drive and once they get behind the wheel they say okay what do I do now?
I hear them whine and cry everyday about how they are being treated and that nobody is showing them respect in the meetings. Although I do not believe in disrupting meetings which may end in somebody not getting a chance to as a question that their congressman can't or won't answer. I have no sympathy whatsoever for them. They are in office now partially due to their endorsement of such tactics. So I say, cry me a river.
And yes there is plenty of blame to go around.
As for how these discussions go. What happens is we all get on here and try to voice our disapproval over the way things are and what the congress and president are doing wrong. We get all worked up trying to outdo anyone who opposes our opinions. Why do we do this? Well its because its the only place where we get any satisfaction that our voice was heard. Better to waste your energy typing on here than waste it talking to a member of congress who will say your some nutjob then go to his accountant to see how he or she is going to vote. Its not about what we want its about who is going to donate the most towards their election campaign. Then come election time the same worthless pieces of crap are reelected every year perhaps because there are only 2 or 3 people at the most to choose from. Once elected they can serve their best interest instead of what their constituants want. This applies to both Dems and Reps. Wake up America

Yep you are 100% correct my good man! All these guys and gals have goofed up and failed us for years.

I still say that the majority of the reason we are in this funk is because of the frank's, dodd's, pelosi's and reid's of the world. The mortgage industry failed us and their input and ideas were behinhd it all. Even when it was failing they refused to take responsibility....at least the way I feel they should have.
