    The National Tea Party

I just received this link in an email. The jist of what "Thomas Payne" says is very true--too bad he undermines his credability with distortions about Congress not paying into Social Security (they do) and about their great retirement plan (They are under the Federal Employess Retirement System, which consists of Social Security and a type of 401K called the Thrift Savings Plan and they cannot draw a pension after only four years, they have to be 62 or serve at least 25 years to get a pension). Anyhow, it worth six minutes or your time to make us all think. Personally, I have written to Obama, my Senators and Congressman but unfortunately, he is correct, the President and the Liberal Democrats are not listing to us.

The president and liberal democrats shouldnt listen to you guys. You are not the ones who elected them and put them in power. People like me did and they had better deliver on what they promised! So far they have done it and I hope they keep up the good work.

The house has passed cap and trade, waiting on the senate to approve. They pumped billions into the economy which is slooowly starting to recover. Cash for clunkers, jump starting the auto industry. Health care, they will deliver! All this in 6 months, whats not to like about the dems?

Hmmm where do I start??? It's easier and shorter to say what do I like about their policies....you guessed it VERY LITTLE!!

The economy will recover in spite of the money spent not because of it. The end doesn't justify the means when you consider the debt these morons are building.....Cash for Clunkers is jump starting nothing...once the free money is gone the sales will be gone..typical of handouts. What happened to all those used cars?

Healthcare should be left alone and they should fix the illegals getting a free ride and take care of our Veterans and elderly population.

FYI...Cap and trade has nothing to do with baseball caps and trading cards.

Slipped Cork, I agree, you have got to be kidding!!

Cap and Trade--my electric company informed me this month that IF IT PASSES (which it hasn't yet) Cap and Trade will add somewhere from $27 to $68 per month to the average electric bill. THAT IS JUST ANOTHER TAX!! And with China, India, Africa, Saudi Arbia, et al, continuing to polute, it won't do a think for "climate change."

Pumping Billions into the economy--that is billions the Treasury BORROWED and has dramaticaly increased the National Deficit. When campaiging, Obama bashed Bush's deficit of $587 Billion and he is now working on over three trillion. the CBO announced that the defict for JULY 2009 was $181 Billion which is more than the deficit for Bush's whole last year in office.

Cash for Clunkers--may be helping the auto industry in a small why but again look at how much money the government had to BORROW to do it. ITS JUST NOT WORTH IT and besides the government is not supposed to run businesses.

Health Care--God helps if it passes. That will be the end of American as we know, in a whole lot of different ways, not the least of which is that it will be the start of us becoming the UNITED SOCIALIST STATES OF AMERICA.

    That's my opinion,
