Hope you didn't give fishing up too, since it consumes a lot more time and money! I have a feeling you didn't.

Here is my average cost breakdown for both:

Golf: Spent about $800 dollars total for all clubs.
Spent $210 on a yearly membership to city courses
Spend $2 for 18 holes walking

Fishing: Spent $10,000 + for bass boat
    Spend $200 per trip
Have spent, can't even really count how many thousands and thousand of $ on fishing gear.
Spend $700 a month for my truck to pull my boat
Spend hundreds a month on insurance (boat/truck)
Spent nearly a grand a year on maintenance of boat

Golf is definitely the cheaper of the two hobbies. If I didn't love fishing so much, those figures would have just made me give it up and stick to golf! I guess I'm just a fish-a-holic!

Okay Rich, I've got to know more about this Geek Golf DCT Driver...you've got me curious on that one. What's so special about it? Never heard of it. 300+ is no joke.

Oh yeah, one of my customers at work is a member at Old Stone. He says it is unbelievable.

    Splitshot-
I had never heard of it either. I was looking for a new driver because I my Titleist D1 was just not cutting it. I could hit it straight with ease, it was just short. I was also ballooning the ball way to high on the drive. Well, I googled low degree drivers, and came across Geek DCT (dot com this) drivers. Found out that it had won the REMAXX long drive competitions for ever! I thought, what kind of name is that for a driver! GEEK? But I research into the driver head further and found thousands of extremely positive reviews. I decided to go for it since the price was right, only $129 for the head or $229 built. I got an upgraded shaft to a Whup-n-shaft, which is the shaft that has also won the long drive competitions forever. Got it in a 6 degree to help with my ballooning drives, and a low trajectory 48" whup-n-shaft. Best thing to ever happen to my game. The ball literally flies off the clubface! And the best part, all I have to do is swing smooth, not try and kill it. I've started driving par 4's at 350+yds, and making par 5's in two. Dropped my handicap from a 10 to a 2. I swear by it! They have a life time warranty on the heads too!

I know, Olde Stone looks amazing! I sometimes drive by it and just drool. One day I'll be able to play it, I hope!
