While fishing this past weekend, I had something unfortunate happen.
While at KY lake this weekend, I managed to drop my cell phone in the water. Not just a little, but a LOT of water. Back in the back in 2 ft of water.
I was able to see it, and used my net to dip it out.
Now here is the cool part.........I purchased a Verizon Motorola Adventure 750 last year based on the fact that it is a Mil Spec phone and waterproof down to 10 ft.
Well........I guess this proves it.
The phone was still when it went into the water. Once I dipped it out, I had to rinse off the goop that I also scooped off the bottom along with the phone. After shaking the phone in the water a little, I pulled it back out of the water, and SHOOK out all the extra water.
I used that phone to call my wife 5 minutes later...........it worked fine.
THIS is a FANTASTIC phone for us outdoorsmen and women.

I have the motorola Tundra and it is the same way, they say their not water "proof" but they are water "resistant", but if you look for video's you'll see them dunked in water and they work fine. I'm so glad technology has finally caught up.
hell i dropped my regular phone in the lake a month ago and it still works fine for some reason
I know my iPhone wouldn't survive that!
Got that right, if gets moist you could be in trouble! Mine acted up until I figured out it was in a moist area.....all is fine now.
The daughter of a friend of mine has ruined two--count 'em TWO--cell phones by dropping them in the toilet.
I had a Treo 650 smart phone for 3 years and that phone was dropped, thrown, soaked in water (by mistake) andleft in the rain on the back of a boat. Once it dried out it worked fine. I was impressed! I love my new iphone! Hope I don't drop it...yikes!
My step daughter dropped hers in the toilet. It worked ok but the reception was shitty! While fishing this past weekend, I had something unfortunate happen.
