It's an exciting time of year, that's for sure.
You broke out your stuff....and I broke mine. I snapped off my main FnF rod on Saturday trying to work a snag free.

First trip in 3 weeks.........Cannot Wait.
This year, I have 3 Float and Fly rods to deploy. \
Rod 1 and GOTO ROD....... 9 ft All Pro with a Shimano Symetre 1500.
Rod 2 and Backup Rod.......9' 6" BPS Float And Fly Rod, Shimano Symetre 2000.
Rod 3 and Backup Backup ......10 ft Walleye Marshall IM-8, Shimano Symetre 2000.
I will also have 4 "jigging rods"
7' 4" G. Loomis Bronzeback with a Johnny Morris 2500, 8lb XPS
6'10" G. Loomis ShakeyHead Rod with a Stradic 2000, 6lb XPS
6' 6" G. Loomis IMX Medium with a 1000 Stradic MG, 6lb XPS
6' 6" G. Loomis IMX Medium-Heavy with a 2500 Symetre, 8lb XPS
Bronzeback will be used for swimbaits, and crankbaits, maybe other stuff.
Shakeyhead rod is GREAT for medium jigs, and smaller swimbaits.
Medium IMX will be used for smaller jigs, and whirley bee type baits.
Medium Heavy IMX will be used for heavier jigs, and maybe medium jigs, maybe Jerkbaits, if needed.
Man oh MAN.......I CANNOT WAIT................
Wohoo.

OUCH........Sorry to hear that.
Did I mention that I really like the Wally Marshall IM-8 Rods...........decent price, and pretty light..........they don't have the backbone, but they are pretty good for 50 bucks.

I'm probably going to buy another one of the BPS 9'6" rods for $44. I know they are discontinued, so I probably better order soon.
What kind of FNF rod did you break? I have a spare top section for a 10' Lexus Silstar if that is what you need and you can have it. Let me know, elnut
I appreciate that, but it was a BPS Micro-Lite.
I guess now I have the bottom half of one of those if anyone needs it (at least I think it broke in the top half).
Better get one...........BTW.......the Wally Marshall I'm talking about is made by the same company that puts out the BPS rod......but the Wally Marshall is an IM-8 blank, while the BPS FnF rod is an IM-6 blank.
Also, I was over at BPS a couple days ago, and they were getting REALLY low on the BPS rods.
Finally, I'm so happy with the Johnny Morris wide spool reel that I purchased 3 weeks ago, I purchased 2 more last night........for 79 bucks, you CANNOT beat them.

Geo
I ordered the BPS today. Primary factor was price plus the fact that I have the balance kit for it.
Hang in there, DH water temperature is 61 -62 degrees and headed towared the mid 50's.......Hay....hay....hay
Looking forward to meeting you in December.![]()
