I want to offer a big ditto on all accounts. It was a great time with a great group of people. I'd be happy and honored to fish with any of you anytime you want.

I posted this in the "winter get to gather" thread, but I will post it here as well.
Just got home and had a great time and enjoyed meeting everyone. I just waned to take a minute and say thanks to Elwood and Steven and all of the others that donated to this event. It was very well run and a great time. I caught my first Smallie from Dale for proof that there are actually fish in that lake that I can catch.

SMEE, your jig did it yesterday morning. It caught a brown fish for me, only 16" but it shook of the nasty green fish taste that it had.

You are all a great bunch of guys and I look forward to fishing with you all again.

I just need to get a good net man like Bone next time. Elwood do you share you net men?

I'd like to chime in on the kudos for a great event. Many thanks goes to Elwood for putting together an awesome line up. Seems like everyone that attended walked away with enough tackle to keep them supplied for several winter outings. I too would like to thank the generousity of all the sponsors of the winter get together.

Special thanks to Stephen Headrick for a great talk on Dale Hollow and the beloved smallmouth. The knowledge alone gleaned from his presentation was well worth the trip.

Finally thanks to all that attended. Friendships rekindled and new ones made just added to the already blessed weekend.

Sorry Redskeeter, I can't share my fulltime net men because I try to keep them busy. I do have a partime 127 year old net man that will sleep 2 hours on the boat, wake up make a cast and catch a fish then go back to sleep, wake up make a cast and catch a fish if you like, COULD NOT RESIST THAT ONE BONEFISH. He is not very good at netting actual fish and does an even worse job of netting LOG SALMON (details later when I get time to post my book)

Well, I will need a little time to express my experience during my three days on the water. I can tell you however that it was a time I will never forget and was one of the best times ever in my life time of fishing. My account of my experience for week will be forth coming as soon as I can catch my breath here at work and soon as my fingers start to move again. But, I would like to say I appreciate Elwood's effort and Stephen's time to talk to us at the event. It was excellent to say the least. I also made new friends in the fishing world which is always great thing to experience. Thanks again, Elwood, for a great time. I don't see how it could have been better. But you know there is much much more I will say later. Bonefish.

It's easy to see from reading these posts that the appreciation, the generosity, the common bond, and the passion that each of you have is what makes you a great bunch of guys. It was a pleasure meeting each of you.

Big props to Elwood for putting it all together and for his willingness to share his knowledge. Thanks also to all of the donors- the bags and door prizes were awesome- Christmas came early! Steve Headrick said it best, "Always be teachable." I learned so much on this trip that if and when my head thaws out, it might just hurt from all the things I need to remember.

The fish were merely a bonus to a great weekend.
