I carry a .45 because the survivor is the only one who gets to tell the story.
Actually, my Kimber doesn't get carried much because it's full size. I actually carry a Ruger .380 LCP or a .38 Special snubby most of the time...and while those may not carry the stopping power of a .45 they are never "too big" or "too bulky" to make them inconvenient to carry. A carry weapon can only save your butt if you've got it on your butt.![]()

I hear ya. I actually carry a P32 more often then not. Its small enough to carry when I "cant" and I'd rather have something then nothing.
Just saw on the news how the conceal carry permits and classes are sky rocketing. I love it, lot's of women and especially older women carrying. Learn how to use it Grandmothers and take care of bisnass if need be.
Criminals beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah I guess we gun toten americans really piss off Nancy P. and Eric Holder. Join the NRA if your not a member cause it helps keep the fight alive!!
I took my CCDW class last August and there were three women in there that were at least in their late 50's. I want my wife to get hers but you must be a citizen in KY for a CCDW. Its crap that she can buy a gun but not get the permit.
When Splitshot and I took it there was a woman in there that I was amazed even passed. I hope she practiced more once she got the permit.
Yes the .45 is quite large and heavy to carry. I have a Sig P232 .380 or a Sig P239 ,9mm that I carry sometimes. Also have a small Beretta .22 that is nice to carry in pocket. If I ever need it. I will just have to shoot for the left Eye Ball !I carry a .45 because the survivor is the only one who gets to tell the story.

I am with you on the LCP. This is usually my pocket pistol but it takes some time to get use to shooting it. The Kimber comes with the Crimson grips on it. I have also been looking at the new Sig 380. It is a mini 1911 and a nice feeling and shooting gun.
Sig Sauer is a great gun ! Their slogan says " 100% to hell and back reliability " And I believe it ! I have never had any kind of issue with mine. But you sure have to pay for that quality don't you? And since I am a big fan of the 1911 , I am going to have to check out their new .380I might have to hide it from the wife though
