Carrot Stixs are no good. Go Flacon Rods they are the best out there, The Cara T7 is the best rod made now and then end of story....................

My friend has one and I really like it, Ive fished it a lot, but I have my own pet brand. I'd go with shimano cumara, I love mine, but the carrot is real close in what I like. Just that bright orange is too much.

Pro Boyd Duckett gave up their sponsorship because they were not building the rods to the specs they had agreed on when he started using the rods, in a article Duckett said that the quality went down and the warranty was not being honored

I own 3 Carrot Stix and love them. Super light and sensitive. I plan on buying a couple more soon.

I'm with you...I couldn't stand that color in my hands all day...regardless of quality!

I've got two, and I love them. I can't say I would choose them over a cumara if the price were the same, but if you can find a good deal on carrot sitx, I don't think you will be disapointed. Some people complain they break alot, but they don't break any more or less than Shimano Cumara's do. They both have good warrantee's (over the counter trade out) so who cares - they are both one of the most sensitive and light rods I have fished with.

    Re: Carrot Stix?

Depending on what kind of hook set you use you have to be careful.. They are very light and sensitive but I have seen them returned at bass pro on numerous occasions for breaking on hook sets.. The old ones were very good rods and then e21 started selling a cheaper version that is half as good as the original ones.. One of my buddies that fishes at IU uses them and he loves them but he said he is getting tired of having to return them and get a new one...
So IMO they are good rods but don't handle a hard hook set well..

I couldn't stand looking at the Tennessee Orange all day. I also dislike the split grip handles on rods today. Bad thing is their all going to them.
