Man....I don't believe that has EVER been done, especially during a State of the Union Address.
WHILE I AGREE with the president on this issue......it is NOT up to him to admonish the court, and bitch slap them for ruling in favor of the Constitution.
CREATE Legislation that is constitutional, and they won't have to OVERTURN this GARBAGE.
BTW......MR PRESIDENT.........do you KNOW what this decision was even about? AT ALL? I doubt it...........
BUT to give you some idea........it is about the GOVERNMENT intervening and and REFUSING to allow a movie to be played SLAMMING Hillary Clinton.
FREE SPEECH buddy........but I guess that only counts if your name is Michael Moore.......or Al Gore.
Why don't you go back to the BBALL court.........while you **** at that also, you're probably better than being the PREZ.

Seen a stat this morning. He has now made more speeches in just over one year than Bush did in his entire first term.
The guy is in love with himself, it's sickening.
Speaking of his basketball skills, lol. I saw a clip with him in a shoot around and he shoots about like he throws a baseball, LMAO.

That just goes to prove that whatever hits the fan will not be evenly distributed. LOL
I saw that too and snickered. I bet he wins every game he plays...or it's your turn to take Nancy P. out to lunch.Seen a stat this morning. He has now made more speeches in just over one year than Bush did in his entire first term.

Just another example of his arrogance, he thinks his job title is King Obama.
Too funny! This thread is just dripping in irony!

GREAT, isn't it........![]()
The thing is.....I actually think the Court RULED by the LAW.....but I don't like the law. They did their job.
My problem with Obama is that he publicly rebuked the court, which is NOT his place.......you can actually say he stepped over the line of his duties showing his displeasure in the JUDICIAL BRANCH.........NOT HIS PLACE.
BUT he gets a BY because he's changing the rules.
I hope the house and senate pass a bill that IS CONSTITUTIONAL, and fixes this mess.

I haven't keep up with what all that Supreme Court has taken issues with...but I do read the USA Today every day; and everytime I read about our courts decissions on most all issues recently.... in the past year or so..the vote has been allways been 5-4......funny that there are 5 "conservatives" and 4 "liberals".....So even in the place of our highest Judges, our highest court...that are supposed to be in the "middle" ... an open mind...comes BS politics; even in our highest court....Sad and very concerning...for me anyway.
So...I don't blame Pres. Obama making an issue on a decission they voted on. If anybody has a right to rebuke...the pres. has that right...heck, even we do.
Im sure they can handle the pressure...we all need that. Lets look at the vote next time they have a big decission to make...bet it will be 5-4 again (I'll make a post right here)...very sad.
Thats why it's important to screen these judges before being appointed. Unfortunately it's turned into a joke....So Barry fits right inI haven't keep up with what all that Supreme Court has taken issues with...but I do read the USA Today every day; and everytime I read about our courts decissions on most all issues recently.... in the past year or so..the vote has been allways been 5-4......funny that there are 5 "conservatives" and 4 "liberals".....So even in the place of our highest Judges, our highest court...that are supposed to be in the "middle" ... an open mind...comes BS politics; even in our highest court....Sad and very concerning...for me anyway.

I know you can like the man as the POTUS but I choose to still think of him as a man of many untruths...more than most and with a seedy past. He is a salesman with his head in the sand. His party is out of touch and they actually believe that people voted for him to get elected....I say they did not. They voted against the GOP and he was the lucky guy that got the protest votes. But now that people are starting to realize what they actually voted on...well it's starting to "change".
Enjoy his wondeful blame filled speeches because his days as the POTUS are numbered...come next election he should get a standing ovation from the GOP as the best thing ever possible to erase their bad spending habits from the peoples minds.
I don't disagree with that assessment. I think you are right that a big part of why Obama won was that people had enough of the GOP for the last eight years. Seeing as McCain was, for a large part, running on more of the same, the repubs lost. The cynical side of me wonders whether the repubs did not run McCain as strong as they could because they knew what a bad shape the country was in at the time and no matter who got elected the president they would have to do a few things that were unpopular. If this was a repub pres, that would have convinced people to not vote repub for many years to come. If it was a dem president, the repubs might have a shot in 4 years.
As far as being out of touch, I think its fair to say that both parties are out of touch with the general population. The first year of Obama's admin is done and all the repubs did to define themselves was disagree with anything he said. Nothing on how to fix things, nothing on leading, etc. They keep it up, expect another 4 years of Obama.
