I've read quite a bit of stuff about Reagan. He was in every sense of the word a fine leader and a great human being. Alot of the stories told were by his peers or people that crossed paths with him in life's jouney.
He loved to work, cut wood, clear fence rows, fix and mend fences on his ranch. Was a very good horseman and shoveled alot of stalls himself. Secret Service and Presidential aids were constantly in a quandry as to why the President wanted to shovel Do Do himself when others should be doing that. His reply to them use to always be, ''You guys don't understand I like this stuff it makes me feel good''.
An Espanic gardener at the White House whom had seen several different administrations come and go in his long career as Grounds keeper said this about Reagan.
''He always takes time to talk to me and ask about and compliment my work. He was late for an important meeting once because we got to talking about flowers and forgot about the time''.
Picture in your mind just for moment.........................
Our present POTUS taking time to talk to a Gardener or shoveling out a horse's stall, LOL.
My Father used to wear a bright Red shirt, With Huge White letters that said REAGAN ! He used to love to mess with the Dems while wearing it !![]()
Shoveling out a horses stall...............do you mean he'd just mosey out of the stall?? I mean WHY SHOVEL "do do", when the "do do" can simply walk out.

My fellow Americans, I am pleased to tell you I just signed legislation which outlaws Russia forever. The bombing begins in five minutes.
Ronald Reagan
Anybody remember that one? The guy had a sense of humor. By far the best President in my lifetime.
A great sense of humor and a industrial sized SET to.
All this talk about R.R. made me order a few books on him from Amazon.![]()
i think Reagan was the best president i've known but i don't think it was necessarily him being so great as much as it was all the others being so sorry.
