    Onside kick

Was that a gutsy call or what. Wow, I couldn't believe the Saints tried that, but it not only worked and they scored because of it, it seemed to shell shock the Colts.

Also when they would show Peyton on the side line with the overhead cam what was up with the Exorocist Demon stare did anybody else catch that, he did it several times, kinda weird, lol.

BRASS COHONES - One of the ballsiest calls I have seen in awhile. You've got to hand it to the Saints' coach, because he was in it to win it the whole game with play calling. Had it not worked and Indy had taken the ball at primo field position and scored, it would have busted the whole game. Kenny Rogers aint got nothin on that gambler!!!

That was a great call by the Saints coach. I think that was definitely the turning point of the game. It was one of the better coaching moves I've seen in awhile.

    Re: Onside kick

Yeah what was up with that? Even during pre-game he had this I'm trying to bad stare...

Well I guess I'll say it cause if they would have won somone would have said it...Looks like folding up and pulling the players didn't help them win the Super Bowl huh? There is nothing quaranteed in sports except what you put into it. If you gave 100% then you always take that home with you. Sandbagging and waiting for a better chance to win doesn't quarantee a thing except proof that you didn't give 100% when you had a chance.

It took some stones to make that call for sure. If they don't recover there and give the Colts the ball at midfield to start the second half, the game is probably over.

I disagree that it was the turning point of the game. The Colts got the ball back and drove right down the field and regained the lead.

IMO the Saints offense being able to drive and run clock, kepping Manning off the field was the turning point in the game. Tne the interception was just the final nail in the coffin.

Naw didn't say or think it was the turning point either but it did ceratinly shell shock the Colts, you could see the look on their faces. They knew right then they were in a fight.

    Re: Onside kick

It was a gutsy call. I don't think it was a smart call but it was a turning point and worked out great for them. This compounded the effect it had on the Colts defense since they had been on the field most the second quarter. But, I did think it took unusually long for them to make the call as to who had the ball at the end of the play. The interception happened when the game was already in doubt. The Saints played good. You have to give them their props.
From a motivation standpoint they had basicly the whole country behind them. The crowd was backing them that's for sure. They might as well have played the game in the Superdome.

Yea alot of folks behind them that's for sure, Rather it was a good move or not, that little not show up and concede two losses deal at the end of the regular season soured alot of people on the Colts this year. I personally believe yesterday the better team won.

Excellent, creative call. Saints coach said they would be doing the unexpected, so from that stand point the Colts should have expected it. Colts guy on the recieving team I think should have had it, he is a second string reciever......a hands guy.

I really think this game hit Peyton Manning dead in the ego. First time I've seen him act like anything less than a total good sportsman. Hate to say it cause I repect the guy, but I think its was not good of him to start blaming everybody else on the team. I don't think he can hang the INT on Reggie, the throw was short and well inside Reggie. And so far as dropped passes, well there just some many time a reciever can pull in fingertip catches that are right on the borderline of being a bad throw that requires a mirraculous catch to make it a good play. I think Peyton was star gazed, let to much of the press hype get to his head, and just for an instant, for one game, just wasn't the total team player the Colts have always known him to be.
