Battery Charging Starting and Trolling

Need to know if there is a problem fast charging i.e. 10 amps or is it better to charge the system slow 2 amps, any difference charging the starting batt. than the trolling batt. Thanks!

my on board is 10 amps

Slower is easier on your batteries. But if you fish two days in a row you'd never get your batteries recharged overnight using 2 amps. 10 amps won't bother the starting battery at all. Most outboards alternators will throw more than that at them running down the lake.

Thanks guys, Was more concerned about the trolling motor, and the effects if any the fast or slow charge would have on the trolling running time!
