Any one know what the fish are doing down there? Was thinking about going down this week. Any info would be great.

Have a buddy who kayak fished it last week. Caight two crapie on minnows, but he ran across a guy tearin up the crappie on jigs. The guy even gave my buddy 5 of his keeper crappie, i guess he had more than he could eat alone.

Well if any one can tell me what the fish (Bass) do at taylorsville I like to give them a 100 dollars. I just fish it today for a tournament. I couldn't catch a thing. I used jerk baits(lost my lucky craft i just bought 15.99)-senkos-power worms-crankbaits-jigs-lipless crankbait(freakin red eye shad)-spinner baits. I really didnt know what else to do. I think I heard some guys say they caught them on jigs and crankbaits. I fished from the horse shoe to the jacks creek. Maybe they caught them down at van buren. I wish I could tell you more I just didn't have any luck.

I think between thunder and lightning and the barometer dropping as low as it has may have shut the fish down... give em a day or two to recover, then the barometer should be on a slow rise and we will be within a few days of teh full moon... that should help... right?

I dont have much info tha will help you catch fish, except that it seems that you catch them where and on what you would least expect to. When they should be shallow I catch them deep and vicee versa. Used to catch them over there on jigs and lipless crankbaits, have'nt had any luck on any of those this year. Me and my partner have fished 2 tournaments over there this year, 17 hours and have only caught 2 fish, one keeper. We skipped the USA Bassin over there yesterday because of this. I don't mind not weighing fish but I at least like to catch a few short ones. Does nayone know what it took to win either tounrey yesterday.

15.02 won the Derby tourney and 11.44 won the USA Bassin (they also took second in the Derby).

I would like to take your 100 bucks, but you will have to come up with alot more than that to get info. Just keep puttin your time in and be patient. Taylorsville is a tough lake with alot of pressure, don't do what everyone else is doing. GOOD LUCK!
