I dont think it matters weather the person that catches a state record is from out of state or a professional. As long as it is certified by the kfw.

Just wondering, It's probably a dumb question, but....If an elite series guy catches a state record say out at the Tennessee Triumph @ KY lake I assume he would become the record holder for the state right?...I beleive that if kelly Jordan's 10.01 Monster had been caught a month ago or so it would have been the state record....It's only a matter of time before the KY record gets broken from KY lake...

I don't know what was caught a month or so ago but the current state record is actually 13lbs 10oz caught in 1984. I believe it was caught out of Woods Creek in London.
I believe he is saying that if it was caught during the spawn, then it would have broken the state record.
No way is a 10# bass going to have #3 of roe. Wishful thinking but that fish wouldn't have been close!
I would agree. I had a 9.2 last year post spawn and thought to myself she might have gone 10 maybe a little better if she was full of eggs. Certainly would not think 11 was possible by any means.
Last year a teen caught a 101/4 out of Tom Wallace, I believe in late March or early April, Don't know how long they carry but by the picture in the Courier she was pretty fat!
