KVD is a machine. Skeet is to KVD as was Alydar to Affirmed.

Actually, Alydar did put a head in front coming down the stretch of the Belmont for a few strides but Affirmed and Little Stevie Cauthen would have no part of that so they came back to win for the triple crown

a season ending chase is the most stupid thing i have ever heard of for a season championship in any sport.how can it be an angler of the year when it basically throws out the first 8 tournaments?kinda like the nba best of 7 series but only the last 3 count.

If you go to the old format, like Roland and Rick Clunn won most of theirs, Skeet would have won this year. Not to take anything away from KVD, he deserved and won it using today's new format. I don't like the new format.

KVD is the best bass fisherman I've ever seen bar none. He is litterally a bass magnet and seems to find them no matter what. When I grow up I wanna be just like him, lol.

All props go to KVD BUT..... Skeet is my AOY because he was the most dominating force throughout the year! angler of the YEAR, not the way this thing wound up. If I was Skeet I probably would have to look at myself and say "DUDE, you blew it", but on the same hand the man still needs to hold his head up because he did dominate all year and he was a victim of a format, KVD had bad tourneys throughout the year and it didn't cost him as bad as Skeet having a bad tourney in the format they set up.

If I went up against Elwood fishing for smallies on Dale and - "I" won once doesn't make me the better of the two when he could wax my rear 7 previous times and could do it time and time again. It just doesn't seem right, in fact allot of the guys are having fits because they made the same type of format as NASCAR, and I know - I know, that is the format but come on............ and I like KVD as much as I like Skeet but fair is fair

One thing you guys are forgetting Skeet started to blow it before the end of the season fish off. Evers was breathing down his neck , All skeet had to do was catch fish , HE DIDN't !!!!! KVD had to catch fish HE DID !!! End of story . Count the last two events like regular events, throw the rest of the field in the mix , As bad as skeet fished in the last 4 events (post season included) he wouldn't have won... Yes if it was only 8 events he would have won, But if there was only one event to decide then whom ever won it is champion.....ie classic champ......
