For those that are planning a trip to the CR you may want to check before you go.
Before the day is over they expect over 5 inches of rain in the lake area.
Been couple times the past two weeks only for a few hours haven't seen or heard of any walleye. I managed a couple sauger one i brought home and my luck with trout has been come and go. One day slayed them next week struggled to find them. Over all beets workin.
I'll second that! Rowena has gotten 3.4 inches (Wolf Creek Dam) and Burkesville has 4.2 inches in the last 24 hours and it is still raining. Wolf Creek Dam discharge is still at 2010 cfs, but would not be surprised to see them increase it in order to maintain LC at 680-681 target range.
While I prefer it at 2K, I'll fish it up to 9K. You just have to change your presentation tactics.
Not out yet, but at 9,000, it tends to take my legs downstream. Maybe in a drift boat, with a BIG CHAIN...He...he..
. Well, lets wait and see, but don't think there is much of a chance I'll be wading the CR for a few days
.
no walleye to report, and a few small brown trout, and even fewer rainbows and zero stripers. lots of water coming though, the creeks around burnside were wild and chocolate today.
Looks like Wolf Creek is waiting for Dale Hollow to release some water? LC is still rising, up 3 plus feet!

Talked to a corps guy today and the "plan" is to hold the water till Saturday afternoon to let the river crest in Nashville. So it looks like we'll get two good days of fishing.
