Ohio river or Patoka?

nice...do you use side imaging up there or just know from years of experience some good spots? my summertime fishing there is usually horribly bad...and i fish areas that should hold fish...just makes me scratch my head

i only got a side image unit about a month ago but its the small one. i cant say it has put any more fish in the boat YET. maybe 2 or 3. just started fishing period last year, so thats about all the experience i got there so far.

Fishing partner wants to fish at Patoka on Wednesday, I'd rather go to the Ohio.

1. Patoka, further drive and gas money for the truck.
2. Patoka. Is it "turning over" now?
3. Ohio river. Sauger are starting to show up.


I already know my preference, what's yours?

Tell him you have a great deal for him. If you all go where he wants to go, you can't pay anything, but if he goes fishing with you on the Ohio, you will allow him to pay half

I'd do the Ohio, and with the time and money saved, hit a bar for a beer and a steak on the way home to make up the difference.
