Any hollow bodied bait will be extremely sensitive to slight changes. I've been able to get a perfect suspender in 55 deg water with one lure and then do the next one the exact same way and it would either float or sink. You can use store bought suspenders but experiment on the water to get the lure you have to work in the conditions you have.

As I said in my first post. Its all dependent on water temp. This week your bait with suspend perfect and a month from now with the water is 10 degrees coolers the bait with float because colder water has more density to it that warmer water.
