Has anyone been catching Stripers at Lake Cumberland? Was planning a trip the end of January and wondering what the bite is like now.
Hey, i'm new on here but i've been down in the last couple of weeks and have done pretty well. I've caught my fish in the back of a couple of creeks in 20' or less of water. got a feeling their going to start drifting back to the middle of the creeks. hope this helps.
jim, its been a few weeks for me. hearing reports of alot of small stripers.
heres two that i caught:

Nice catch there Skinny. Were you using shinners?
nope... customized castmasters (big hooks) spinning rod and 8lb test. u can see the rod to the right in the 2nd pic.
Those are some nice CR stripers, way to go!

Hey are the Skipjack making a run up to the dam now!!!!!!
Yep...the skip jacks are thick. Won't leave ur bait alone.
Thanks Skinny those skipjack can get big and fun!! lol
Didn't catch any big skip jack. All about 12 to 15" long.
Those are still fun!! btw did you all just catch the two bigger stripers or was the smaller ones also hitting!!
We had 9 keeper stripers,4 walleye,3white bass& 1 brown over21. No rainbows. U would catch something just about every cast. Small striper or skip Jack.
